Who told you he doesn't have a thriving business outside of Nigeria? Have you been to Zimbabwe, Kenya, or Ghana, or Ivory coast, Liberia and serria Leone? and even some other countries. a they have the presence of Dangote there even if it's just the cement but they are doing pretty fine

Lol, plus the brand extension nor dey help matters - that sounds like poo talk when you even present the faintest whiff of single product positioning.

I envisaged it with his noodles and it came to pass. As recently as 3 or so years back, one of the groups accountants was telling me orders for the noodle were through the roof and the product was "booked" till end of the year. Yeah, we seen that with "O" turned Honeywell brand et al...; who did he eventually sell to? The ones with the first mover advantage... Kai, let me just leave that here without going into details...

Dangote is simply diversifying his business portfolio. The flour business must still be profitable to attract any investor at all. However it appears a lot is going into the Refinery and Tomato business, so it would make sense to let go of the weaker business to fund the "cash cow".

The bought over bau and dangote and northern flour mills ,dangote group is exiting the flour industries and concentrating on cement and crude refining (undisputed market place ) called blue water ...go and read red and blue i ocean strategies and up you dead brain cells

u are poorly educated in bussiness olam is buying up several flour mill 400m dollars bua 360 dangote this is over 50 percent of the markets it called oligopoly while dangote is exiting the sector due to over capacity and low return on investing and investing in cement and oil which is an undisputed market share (blue water) go and read red and blue ocean strategy to understand what is happing there is no single industry in Nigeria that dangote run solely ...companies strive to create a nich space for sustainable income ...this is capitalism .....u needs schooling on marketing
