It is no longer news that President Mohammadu Buhari will be in Lagos today to commission some projects.

Part of the projects that the President will commission include a fleet of buses that is an integral part of the Bus Reform Project of the Governor Ambode-led government.

These buses have the unique feature of Intelligent Transport System mechanism. This mass transit mechanism is intended to aid Lagosians in planning their journeys. This initiative will also make public transportation in the state globally competitive.

These buses are the first batch of  820 buses out of the 5000 buses being proposed for the bus Bus Reform Project.

I hope the manufacturer has a maintenance workshop located in Lagos? A modern wash should also be put in place to keep these beauties clean.

These buses will look pretty much the same (perhaps with a little ordinary wear and tear)...

The are three first-rate (and only because I do not want to use the cliched term 'world-class') depots and maintenance facilities already set up at Yaba, Oshodi and Awoyaya-Lekki (with the latter doubling as an assembly plant, where future batches of these buses are planned to be produced). Meanwhile, the manufacturers have spent months training the Nigerian engineers/mechanics who will lead-maintain these buses.

PS: The maintenance depots have modern car-washing facilities.

You are right but it’s quiet unfortunate that the region where Innoson came from don’t know how to play politics. If innoson motor was owned by a northerner or the southwesterner politician the whole country would have been forced to use innoson. For example( Dongote products), Elizade(Major distributor of Toyota) this people play there politics well than our people.

Our mentally uncompleted president to commission n uncompleted project few weeks after conducting inconclusive elections.

Truth be told,these buses should have been bought from innoson.At the end of the day,it will benefit everyone...both politicians from SE/SS, SW,NC,NE/W should be made to adhere strctliy to local content.Pls don't tell me is because of politics,after all the country they bought it from are they Nigerians.We are not growing as a nation.
