Focus: Be Free From Guilt

WORD FOR TODAY
Life gets freer and better in obedience to God's principles. Living a life free from guilt is a prerequisite to enjoying the power and the peace of God in the land of the living.

"Then they said to one another, "We are truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us." (Genesis 42:21 NKJV).

The brothers of Joseph continue to attribute every misfortune they had as a consequence of what they did to him. The same will play out in the life of every man who chooses to live in guilt. Guilt is a cancer that kills a man from the inside. It deprives men the needed confidence they should have in the battle of life and God's presence.

The heaviness of guilt is debilitating. It causes mental breakage, emotional crippling, even physical deterioration. Overall health and well-being is adversely affected when we carry guilt inside. Human being was psychologically designed for innocence, so as long as there is unresolved guilt within us our quality of life is compromised on all levels.

If you are still living in guilt; take the issues to the cross where the work of reconciliation was perfected. And be ready to submit yourself to principles under God that will ensure total freedom from guilt.

+ Is there a covered sin that must be confessed? Any offence to forgive or seek for forgiveness? Is there a restitution to make?

Lord! I receive the grace to live a life free from guilt in Jesus name. Amen!!!
