The Untapped Strength of Oduduwa 1

Do you know that if Obasanjo and Tinubu should rally the Oduduwa today, declare that they've had enough of this nonsense, and declare an autonomous Oduduwa Region this very day, the Nigerian landscape would change forever and the 1999 would almost certainly be immediately suspended, and structural negotiations would begin immediately for all regions?
Yes! You might not like these men, but they've got the clout, the guts and the sagacity to make it happen in a few days!

But why don't they?

They both suffer delusions of grandeur...and the one suffers greed of gargantuan proportions that has totally blinded him on the low-hanging fruits within reach. One thinks that he would be President someday, the other wants to be the greatest Nigerian ever! None thinks about the emancipation of the people!
Therein lay the problem.

The Untapped Strength of Oduduwa 2

Òdūa!!! Àwõn õmõ kaarò õjíire!!!

Consultations with different groups on the proposed 12 Region Parliamentary Format in a restructured Nigeria. One very instructive concern was the survival of the regions as there would be no sharing of revenues. All regions must survive on the taxes generated less the 25% sent to the centre.

Oduduwa Region: Industries, Apapa Ports, Railways, Agriculture, Banking, Telecoms, Mining, Information Technology, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing. The Region has an estimated population of 38 million people including Yoruba Kogi, Yoruba Kwara and Yoruba Edo. Corporate & Personal Income Taxes could easily breach the N5 trillion Naira mark within the first year.

It is proposed that the region would delineate constituencies such that each constituency would bring about parties that would provide candidates to contest among one another. The electoral body shall consist of member from all the participating political parties and the traditional rulers within the constituency. The balloting process shall be the Open Ballot System and results announced at the Polling Station. The winner shall be a Member of the Regional Parliament.

The party with the highest number of parliamentarians shall be invited by the Yoruba Traditional Council of Chiefs (Headed by a Chairman) to form a government with a simple majority. The leader of the winning party shall be the Premier of the Region and choose his cabinet from among the parliamentarians. All parliamentarians shall be equal and all decisions of the Premier must be approved by the house and ratified by the Traditional Council of Chiefs.

Odua Region is fully ready to compete with France, Germany, Hong Kong and the rest. The region is being held down by the current structure and people impoverished by the lack of organization as found in other regions. This is organic Restructuring that could take place despite this structure and the government! Conduct elections in the localities, elect the parliamentarians and provide an alternative and more effective means of providing succour for the people. Ignore this structure and their system of government; take your destiny in your hands.

The Untapped Strength of Oduduwa 3

The Yoruba Region as an autonomous region would be the richest region in a restructured Nigeria.
If the Yoruba had the Oduduwa Republic, without doing anything, they would be the 3rd largest economy in Africa ON THE FIRST DAY OF INDEPENDENCE!

Why such a rich region should be tied down by a despicable structure and an unforgiving contraption called Nigeria is beyond comprehension. Why some of the so-called leaders fail to see this is beyond human understanding!
And an autonomous Oduduwa Region or a sovereign one would greatly enrich the East and Middle Belt in bilateral trade. It shall be to the advantage of us all should the South get her acts together. What's too difficult to see here? Are we all under some spell or what?
The Oduduwa Region in Nigeria is larger than the the Republic of Togo in land size and has 6 times the population of that tiny country. Yet, Oduduwa is forced into the Nigerian slave camp like the rest of us with hardly anything to show for the brilliance of her people!
It's a sacrilege!

The Untapped Strength of Oduduwa 4

Oduduwa Region...àwõn õmõlúàbí.

As a stand alone country or an autonomous region, the Yoruba Region is actually the most wealthy.

See the following data:

Oduduwa Region
Population: 38 million
GDP: $160 billion
Area: 102,000 sq km
Republic of Ghana
Population: 24 million
GDP: $43 billion
Area: 238,000 sq km.

We have attempted to limit the comparative analysis to just the Oduduwa Region and Ghana; but obvious data has made this difficult.
In terms of GDP alone, the Oduduwa Region is easily the 4th largest economy in Africa after Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt. The Oduduwa Region far outstrips that of Ivory Coast at $40bn, Ethiopia at $73bn, Tanzania at $47bn, and could easily colonise Benin Republic and Togo if things were different!

Now, a traditional region hitherto under the rule of the the Alaafin has been castrated, divvied and left floundering under a system no one understands! A proud and very rich region separated by military imposed boundaries, some of her people forced into the servitude of the Sultan by designating them "Northerners"! If Oduduwa Region were to be as it was, it would outclass the Dubai Emirates in less than a decade! Odua Region has as many people as the combined population Ghana, Togo and Benin Republic. Yet, these are countries while the Yoruba People are not even allowed to govern themselves and compete favourably to enhance their fortunes! Due to no fault of theirs, their potential wealth has been frustrated by the unfortunate structure of Nigeria!

Oduduwa Region is the next thing waiting to happen on the world stage! The organization of this region as a common entity would be a massive plus to Nigeria and to Africa. Organizing this region to be self ruling under the Federation of Nigeria would accelerate their economic development by at least 10-12% per annum for over two decades. Within 5 years, the GDP of this region would exceed the $300 billion mark and be at par with some modern developed economies. Regional autonomy and self organization would enrich the Yoruba People and increase the wealth of Nigeria.

Why then would a people have such a gigantic potential but be locked down by a system that prevents it from exploding on the world stage? Why should a region that could make Nigeria proud agree to be divvied into some silly states, divided by strangers and have not attained even 5% of their potential?

The Nigerian Structure is a crime against humanity. In the next installment, we shall throw more light on how the Oduduwa Region could come to fruition despite this obnoxious structure!
We must #restructureOrBurst...#confederacyOrDissolution. The current structure is sickening!

The Untapped Strength of Oduduwa 5

Oduduwa Region...a sleeping giant...smh...

On a monthly basis, the total budgetary allocated to the 6 states of the Oduduwa Region, including the local governments in Kwara, Kogi and Edo States is less than 40 billion Naira. This is equivalent to $110 million per month. This is about $1.2 billion per annum for 38 million citizens...Ghana budgets $15 billion for 24 million citizens. Ghana has a government, Oduduwa Region has none...
The structure of the country has made it impossible for the Oduduwa Region to explore its potentials and enrich her people. How on earth could $1.2 billion be sufficient to develop a land area larger than Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg combined?
So we carried out a snap shot of the probable budgetary potential of the Region.

See the data below:

Personal income tax
15 million persons @ 5000 per month = 75 billion Naira
Tier 3 businesses (artisans, small shops, etc)
1,500,000 @ 5000 per month = 7.5 billion
Tier 2 businesses (large restaurants, hotels, service stations, etc)
100,000 @ 100,000 per month = 10 billion Naira
Tier 1 businesses (large corporations, etc)
20,000 @ 1 million Naira per month = 20 billion per month.

Total budgetary potential is 112.5 billion Naira per month as against the paltry less than 40 billion. And these are very conservative figures (with the tax regime of Lagos State alone, these figures easily go above the 220 billion Naira mark per month) The Oduduwa Region must run on the taxes of the residents of the region; and they shall be better for it! In fact, at 25% remission to the Government of the Federation, they still have an amount more than twice the current total allocation from the federal government. Oduduwa Region is more than sufficient to provide development for her people. But how could this be done without the Oduduwa Region taking responsibility for its own government? Why rely on some artificially created entities and a strange contraption to feed the people?

With a regional parliamentary structure in the Oduduwa Region, no one could steal public funds. No human would have absolute powers...to see a great kingdom reduced to helpless vassals of a strange contraption is gut-wrenching...as a matter of urgency, the Oduduwa Region must discover itself, explore her potentials, and take the world by storm. An autonomous Oduduwa Region within a Nigerian Federation is an irreducible minimum; anything less shall not suffice! Enough of being locked down by a bumbling federal government and an obnoxious structure.

For the Yoruba to exploit their strengths and stamp their presence on the world stage, we must #restructureOrBurst...a #confederacyOrDissolution. This is a fact! The current structure would never do any good as a great people would be continually cheated by a system they did not bargain for!

Now, we must all #thinkAgain if we must save ourselves from this despicable abomination.

Failed State Index?

Number 14...

Whenever I hear people lament that Nigeria "was fast becoming a failed state". I often wonder if they don't realise the definition 9f failed states or they haven't seen one.

Dear Friends, Nigeria is a typical example of a failed state, the environment shows the state has failed, the electoral process shoes that it's a failed state, the propagation of poverty says it's a failed state, internal colonialism by the Fulani shows it's a failed state, the lack of development and the refuse dumps we refer to as towns and cities shows it's a failed state!

The 1999 Constitution is a solemn proof of the failure of the Nigerian State!

Nigeria is used as examples in research Institutes in Europe, the Americas and South East Asia as an example of a failed state under the Research Topic "Failed States and Resource Curse".

Every other person outside Nigeria is fully aware that the Nigerian State has failed; ironically, Nigerians are yet to be told that their state had since failed!

Well, see the picture below; it's the Global Failed State Index for 2018. Nigeria is Number 14 ahead of Afghanistan at Number 9. Nigeria has failed so we ought not be afraid that it has; all we are pushing for is #restructureOrConfederate in order to avoid bloodshed, or #DissolveOrBurst. As per the country being a failed country, it is officially known globally.

Think about this just before you have brunch...

In the event of an Atiku victory in court (if ever despite overwhelming evidence of an electoral heist), there is NOTHING in the 1999 Constitution to help implement the judgement. In the event of the disposition of the incumbent not to vacate the seat if asked to do so by the Supreme Court, is there any clause in the 1999 Constitution to exert punitive measures on the president or is there any arm of government that could compel him to vacate the seat?

There's NOTHING whatsoever! Nada!

My dear Friends, it's unfortunate that most people have not come to the realization yet how dangerous the 1999 Constitution is having vested god-like powers on the president. There are numerous CONSTITUTIONAL ways that the president would retain the presidential seat despite an unfavorable Supreme Court judgement; and they are all LEGAL! Would they be morally justifiable? That's inconsequential; he could retain that seat LEGALLY and nothing would happen. Maybe it's time we took a good look at that Constitution and totally destroy it...

Through the 1999 Constitution, the president could do the following:
1. Activate an Executive Order
2. Cite national security
3. Present "facts" to a court showing certain concocted actions of Atiku were national security issues
4. Atiku is tried in court for treason
5. Nigerians divided in opinions while Atiku is battling for life...

Meanwhile, all these time, the Supreme Court's judgement has not been implemented yet. And the president still legally in power!!!

The Senate passes a resolution supporting the president. DSS is already hounding some enemies. A petition is written for the reforms of the Supreme Court...(of course, it's fictitious but it keeps them on the back foot).

International community? Lol...please, don't say that again; they're the easiest to handle.

By this time, different aspects of the Constitution saying the powers of the president to appoint security chiefs, to deploy, to ensure national security, to accuse, jail or what have you would be all over.

And please, forget about international community; it reduces this debate, please.

If you must know, the foundations to activate the above were laid within the past 4 years. The consolidation in ongoing as we speak.

Dear Friends, we brought too little, too late; the gambit is already in play.

The only way the incumbent could vacate that seat would be via his own magnanimity. No one could force him out constitutionally. And in the event of his refusal to leave, the only way to force him out would be through the rise and determination of the Constituent Regions.

Now, go ahead and #thinkAgain.

Enjoy your Brunch!

The Untapped Strength of Oduduwa 6

That the Oduduwa Region has profound potentials is not in doubt. That the potentials cannot be achieved under this structure is not in doubt. What's in doubt is whether the very people of the region are prepared to take their destiny in their hands.
The structure of the country is limiting; the Caliphate has encircled the country with their military, paramilitaries and have absolutely taken over all organs of the entity called Nigeria. By our own complacency, mental laziness, lack of foresight, lack of cohesion and leadership, we have allowed ourselves to be locked down...and our people impoverished.

One major strategy employed in scattering the region is by the creation of states. May I inform you that ALL states created in Nigeria are illegal; they have no legal backing! The military has NO right whatsoever to create a state or split a people! Then they allocate some crumbs to their created "states" on a monthly basis to be overseen by a "governor" whose election was ratified in Abuja and not by the People (stop kidding yourselves that you "elected" politicians under this structure; you did not...Abuja did).

Another efficient strategy of keeping the people divided and controlled is by inscribing in their Decree 24, salaries to Traditional Rulers! For goodness sake, this was a method employed by the British to control the natives; the British "paid" the traditional rulers salaries, thus effectively subjugating our leaders and by default, the People! Why on earth should the traditional rulers agree to this under this structure? With the payment to the traditional rulers, the organic leadership of the People is destroyed!

We could get back our regions if we decided to come back to our senses. The Traditional Rulers are the most important class of leaders in the Oduduwa Region. To achieve regional autonomy in the Oduduwa Region, the Traditional Rulers are key...but first they must stop being subservient to their own subjects who had been elevated to "governor"!

The Traditional Council of Oduduwa Region needs to call a conference of Yoruba Kings. In the conference, a chairman and a working committee should be constituted to chart the way forward for the region. Next, the Council should get the committee to invite people with foresight and write a regional constitution for the Oduduwa Region. The Council shall serve as a guide to fashion out how to rebuild the region and have a cohesive government and development.

With the regional constitution in place, shared by all residents, delineation of constituencies, constituency elections are carried out and parliamentarians emerge. These are invited by the Traditional Council to form a government and a Premier emerges. The Traditional Council, Parliament and the Premier shall seek ways to harmonise the region, provide leadership and development, with the willing taxes of residents. And must completely ignore the governors and their bribes. With a better moral acceptability, in time, the Regional Government of the Oduduwa Region shall be the only representative of the People...with time, the other regions of the South and Middle Belt shall adopt this model...with time, the restructuring we so yearn for would spread. And we would all be better for it.

No one would give any region restructuring; we must make deliberate moves as People. We must commence organic restructuring ourselves. We cannot wait for the country to wake up while people suffer in despair. The Oduduwa Region ought to take the lead in providing regional leadership for the Oduduwa Region. We call on Tinubu, Obasanjo, the traditional rulers and others to immediately convoke a Traditional Council meeting, and set the ball rolling on the emancipation of the Oduduwa Region. There should be less emphasis on Abuja elections but more on forming a government for the Oduduwa Region.

It is only those who dare, that win! We await the rebirth of the Yoruba Kingdom; the advent of a prosperous Oduduwa Region!
We must #restructureOrBurst. It as certain as the sky is blue!
#thinkAgain.

Yorubas are indeed greatly blessed. With homogeneous states with common language of Yoruba, identical culture, coupled with their accommodating lifestyle and friendly mien, in addition to non-expansionist interests, these people could rule the world. They need not belabor themselves. All they need is to create a conducive atmosphere where others would converge and do the work for them while they enjoy the multiple tax, rents and other benefits therefrom and put same to judicious use.

A people so naturally endowed have no cause not to challenge Britain, France, Brazil, South Africa, even within the next two or three years. The structures are already there, just to take their future in their hand. I'm appalled a people that should be most discounted with One Nigeria are rather calling for the mowing down of those agitating for separation, yet there are really sensible visionary ones towing the path of freedom.
