20 Questions For Prof. Ishaq Oloyede: UTME 2019 by mrintellectual(m): 6:55pm On Apr 28, 2019
With all due respect sir, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede. I want to comment on the manner at which the UTME 2019 was conducted, and the results declaration is being handled.

Students, about 1.8 million of them, wrote this year's exam.

Students were subjected to a very demeaning treatment.

1. Exams supposed to be written by 7am we're written in the afternoon or evening. Those who were to write by 9am eventually wrote their exams in the night. Many of the students were stranded, AND WROTE THE EXAMS IN FRUSTRATION AND HUNGER.

Who should pay for this inconvenience? The JAMB registrar or the CBT centres?

This is not a minor issue. Somebody needs to be sued here!

2. We also heard that some people had access to the exam questions. This was a widespread fact, not limited to one part of the country. It happened last year, and also this year. Thanks for initiating some arrests. We need you to fulfill your promise, of making public the names of the culprits.

However, don't you think that JAMB made it easy for people to have access to these questions? Don't you think the security arrangement at the CBT centres we're not functional? Shouldn't the security operatives also be in jail and the CBT operators by now, for allowing such malpractice to happen under their watch? How about the ones not caught? Don't you think this could affect the overall chance of admission for the genuine students and candidates of this year's UTME?

3. Exams have come and gone. You promised that you would release the exams on Monday. Monday is around the corner, and suddenly, we are hearing again that it may not be Monday again. Why should this be so?

Can't we just have our results immediately we submit our papers? Or is JAMB not careful that some people within the system can actually influence candidates' scores? Will this be fair? Should students be kept waiting for too long? Don't you think the applicants deserve the right to know the truth about their results?

Or, do you believe that students should be dummies, who should not complain? Is foolishness a sign of Africanism or good parental upbringing? Does the JAMB see it as something unimportant to render an apology for the delay?

Professor Ishaq Oloyede, don't you feel it is right for you to apologise to Nigerian students for the delay, and the poor conduct of the examination? Don't you feel it is right for them to know the truth, THE WHOLE TRUTH?

Or, is it that you deliberately want to keep your CLIENTS in darkness? Don't you think it is right for Nigerian students, who wrote UTME 2019 and are your customers, to be treated like Kings and queens?
