It is the beginning of a new year and we have been getting questions about Jupeb 2019.

This is to inform prospective Jupeb candidates that Jupeb 2019 registration is same as the Jupeb 2018/2019 session that has been on since September 2018.

Before we go on let’s give a brief insight on things you need to know before Jupeb 2019 registration.

What is Jupeb?

Jupeb stands for Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board. The Jupeb Programme originated as a result of different Universities coming together to create an alternative means of tertiary admission for secondary school leavers without JAMB.

The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) was approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013. It was formally established in April 2014 by a consortium often (10) partnering universities led by the University of Lagos.

JUPEB is Proven:
JUPEB Programme has proven to be a good alternative to Gaining Admission into Nigerian universities. Yearly, more than 20,000 students register for jupeb programme and more than 70% of them successfully secure admission with the certificate to their preferred university and desired course of study.

JUPEB Programme is Certified:
The Nigeria University Commission (NUC) has certified the programme as an advanced level examination programme that qualifies students into 200level without JAMB UTME

How Jupeb Works
Prospective JUPEB candidates are required to select any THREE (3) A/L JUPEB SubjectCombination plus General studies (English Language) identified with their preferred course of study in the university be it Science, Art or Social Science Course.

Candidates would undergo lectures for 9-10 months after then they will sit for the Jupeb exam in June.

Closing date for Jupeb 2019.
There is no closing date yet and once there is, it will be communicated accordingly.

N.B: students are to note that Jupeb registrations for 2019/2020 have not commenced.
