Re: N1,200,000 or Less Tokunbo Cars by IMOHS(m): 8:33am On Nov 01, 2020 |
joceey:Funny enough I was there wen he brought down exhaust and nothing was inside where my catalyst ws supposed to be,so I m sure he didn't remove it, the car came like that,I m sure of that. There were holes in my exhaust that's why I was having that voom sound wen I start the car. The panel now said he ll construct a local indomie n put. After everything dats wen my check engine light came on. I took it for check and realized the wire linking the O2 sensor at the front passenger side had been cut without reconnecting. Dats wer d problem started o! I just tire with incompetent mechanics n technicians for dis naija! |

IMOHS: Not bad sha. My "Tire pressure sensor fault" on the dashboard won't go away. I have OBD II Scanner but can't use it to clear it. 1 Like 1 Share |

samuelson06:there is a way you can clear it with magnet. Normally there is a special tire tool that is supposed to do that, not OBD, but it's expensive and not common around here. Search online for the video of how to reset tpms on ford with magnet. You would need to make sure all four tires guage first. I did it successfully on a ford edge. Another way (altho slightly risky) is by resetting the PCM, by putting the ignition on ON, not start, then go to the engine bay and disconnect the positive terminal for at least 10minutes. Key will still be in the ON position the whole time. Then afterwards, replace positive terminal, go back in and turn off the ignition. Then turn it back on and start. That is a ROGUE way to reset the PCM. Also learned that online and used it to do a SAS (steering angle sensor) reset on same ford edge. The first option is the safe one. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

GAZZUZZ:You are absolutely correct sir, i just changed both my o2 sensor, bank 1 and 2 to a brand new one shipped directly from the state, and this code still appears, though my mechanic said it's not an issue that i shouldn't bother that it's common to appear on Toyota like that. But please sir, is there any solution to fix it? Thanks |

Oluoxide2: If they were very cheap they tend to be defective a lot. Did you buy with connectors on the end or wires that had to be spliced? Run a scanner and see if there is current. If there is, they are defective. If they isn't, check your wiring. What code triggered the change? You sure it's o2 sensor? 2 Likes |

Oluoxide2: Sensor is right. Looks good but I don't recognize the brand. I'm 90% sure you have a wiring problem. There is a frayed or cut cable you're missing. Check fuse and wiring before buying any more parts. My 2 cents. 4 Likes |
