The Federal Government has emphasized its promise to the acknowledgment of the Nigeria Industrial Revolution Plan (NIRP). Dr. Okechukwu Enalamah, Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment said this on Friday at the initiation of the Nigeria Competitiveness Project (NICOP).

He said the government was ready to understand the NIRP through its duty to the advancement of Micro, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in the nation. Spoken to by Mr. Edet Akpan, the service’s Permanent Secretary, Salamah said the MSMEs would be given genuine consideration on account of their job in monetary enhancement.

He said the undertaking supported by the European Union (EU) and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), would supplement other government activities. “Nigeria is blessed with human and standard assets, and for the nation to accomplish its maximum capacity, we can’t stand to overlook the MSMEs and their commitment to the economy.
“As a creating country, we are trying to change the economy by starting projects and strategies that will help improve the way of life,” he said. The pastor likewise said that administration was striving to advance social and political steadiness particularly with the continuous projects on economic expansion.

Talking at the occasion, the EU Ambassador to Nigeria, Karlsen Ketil said the association in a joint effort with the GIZ had in help of NICOP, reserved around 10 million euros for MSMEs improvement. Ketil noticed that the help for the advancement of MSMEs wound up appropriate because of populace development and the disturbing ascent in joblessness in the nation.
