A foreigner identified as George Suarez, has been arrested, arraigned and remanded in prison for mobilizing soldiers to beat his neighbor, Diva, like an uneatable snake in Lagos.

It was gathered that Diva’s only offense was having a misunderstanding with Suarez’s wife at their No 5, Falilat shomade street, Lekki, Lagos home, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

The man was said to have brought in four soldiers and ordered them to flog the victim. She was later whisked away and warned against reporting the incident if she doesn’t want to the shot.

However, the neighbors that witnessed the inhumane treatment rushed Diva to the hospital and got the police involved. Suarez appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded in Ikoyi Prison pending when Diva would fully recover.
