Why United Nations General President Will Visit Nigeria On Monday by Gistokng: 1:29pm On May 05, 2019
Ms. María Espinosa, President of the United Nations General Assembly, will arrive in Nigeria on Monday on the welcome of the Nigerian Government to reinforce particular relations among Nigeria and the United Nations.

Mr. Oluseyi Soremekun, the representative, United Nations Information Center, said this in an announcement made accessible to reporters on Sunday in Lagos, NAN reports.

Soremekun said that amid her central goal, she will talk about the needs of the UN General Assembly as identified with ladies and youth strengthening, bring issues to light and energize comprehension of the significance of multilateralism and the UN.

He said that different issues to be talked about include; raising further universal mindfulness on the Lake Chad Basin and endeavors of Nigeria to advance economic improvement, harmony and security in the locale among others.

“While in Nigeria, the President of the UN General Assembly will have reciprocal gatherings with President Muhammadu Buhari, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.

“She will likewise draw in with understudies and young people on the subject: Responding to Global Challenges in a quick Changing World: The Case for Strengthening Multilateralism.

“Espinosa will likewise examine with a ladies gathering of people on the subject: ‘The Role of Women in the Promotion of Multilateralism.

“She is booked to likewise meet with the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Aisha Abubakar,” Soremekun said.

Soremekun included that Espinosa will be gotten at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, by an agent of the Nigerian Government and Mr. Edward Kallon, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Nigeria.

As indicated by him, this was the second official visit of Espinosa, President of the 73rd Session of the UN General Assembly to the African district since assuming control over the administration.
