The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has condemned the position of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi and the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr Nnia Nwodo on the proposed sit-at-home protest announced by the group.

IPOB had earlier announced 30th May 2019 as the date for this year’s sit-at-home protest to honour those killed during the civil war.

The duo of Umahi and Nwodo had earlier dissociated their state and group respectively from the announcement.

A press release by the Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Mr. Emma Powerful and made available in Awka on Sunday, condemned the duo for working to sabotage the exercise.

The group said, “It has been brought to our attention that the usual suspects are it once again in their bid to undermine the collective will of all patriotic and genuine children of Biafra to honour those that died for us and 3.5 million victims of the second largest holocaust in modern history.“That Nnia Nwodo’s Ohaneze and Dave Umahi have come out yet again to.. These stupid Igbo elite that place their political careers and obeisance to the Fulani hegemony before the wider Igbo interest are a huge part of our problem! No matter how you slice and dice it, if we can’t get them to fall in line with the emancipation agenda then our freedom will be much more difficult to achieve!

It’s these pathetic slaves to the ‘one Nigeria’ project who have been piloting our affairs from the early 70s to date and who purport to represent us at the centre, that are a big part of the reason Igbo haters see us as easy to marginalise and take for granted! This is why they operate at cross-purposes with IPOB and Mazi Kanu; Mazi Kanu and IPOB represent the end to their useless privileges and ill-gotten wealth acquired through politics!

What people like Nwodo, Umahi & Obiano fail to understand is that they can't stop our collective decision on any Biafra issues.
All Biafra land must be closed down on 30th may, 2019 no going back.

Buhari sees us as easy to marginalise, oppress and ignore because of this lack of cohesiveness among us and the fact our greedy political elite are not onside in the struggle!

Remember when Mazi Kanu was gathering huge crowds in the south-east before he was illegally held in jail by the Buhari mafia? If you recall, Buhari was sufficiently rattled to the point of inviting the Igbo elite led by this same Nwodo and others! After the meeting, Nwodo talked about the demands they made which included utilisation of coal in the east for power generation; railways; adequate operation of seaports in the east; upgrading operations at AIIA Enugu; etc! This was like two years or so ago....up till today we’ve not seen any sign these demands are being met! Buhari only agreed to meet them to buy himself some time!

My point is that if we all pull in the same direction we can achieve much more, and end the mistreatment we’ve been suffering in this country since the end of the uncivil war!

Pathetic hater, where did you see Obiano mentioned?
Nnamdi Kanu, Uche Mefor, Emma powerless and IPOB can continue to create enemies, their business. Biafra would only come when they know it's about a collective effort and not just a group of people dictating what MUST BE DONE.

I can understand why a Hausa/Fulani slave like Umahi would oppose the sit at home but why would Nwodo oppose it? I find it hard to believe that an ex-Biafran Soldier like Nwodo would oppose the remembrance of the comrades he lost in the war
