The ongoing recruitment of secondary school  teachers by the Kebbi State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has seen more than 100 prospective employees apply for the teaching job with fake certificates.The permanent secretary in the ministry, Hajiya Rafatu Hammani, who confirmed that they seen  over 100 applicants apply for the Kebbi teaching job with fake certificates, said they are working closely with security agencies and educational institutions in their investigation.

She said: “We are working closely with security agencies and educational institutions to find out how they got the suspected fake results and also participated in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)”. The state government had approved the recruitment of 1, 700 qualified teachers and 300 auxiliary staff for the state secondary schools.
