What is untrue in what I wrote? I was trying to explain to him that GDP measure all economic activities (not limited to White collar jobs, buying & selling or Small &medium scale processing industries) taking place in the State at a point in time.

TundeBricklayer:

And you wrote this Economic activities include anything that bring money including Farming, Animal husbandry, Mining, Export of cotton, hides &skin, Gum Arabic, groundnuts etc from Kano In additional to economic activities in Bompai industrial Estate in Kano.
Kano , being on the Trans-Saharan trade route has been an important economic centre since the 15th century.

Fool what is there to contribute to your erosion ridden mud Hut enclave, it's obvious your ancestors need those Agbo to maintain their manhood that's why there is such a high demand for it to warrant in your imagination mass movements of young Agbo vendors to your little hamlets

Direct your enquiries to the Op, he's the one saying ibos are not moving to west and north, I don't see a big deal but the Op feels otherwise and actually try to say it's not happening. The fact is whether for trade, green pasture for pleasure or adventure the ibos are moving in droves out of the east towards west and north and there after find those places more comfortable than home
Now I get your point? But your last statement, you're wrong? The Igbos find there home more comfortable than any part of the country?

Oyedepo is Yoruba, doesn't matter he is from Kwara. I know folks here like to claim ovia and elumelu are Igbo but it seems they are Delta Igbo or claim Delta state.

you keep contradicting yourself.

so oyedepo is now Yoruba despite being from kwara, a north central state? but tony onyemaechi elumelu is not Igbo because he is from delta state south-south?

elumelu himself is proud of his Igbo roots and you are here saying we Igbo "like to claim" elumelu. you are indeed lost.

Oga you are the one supremely lost. You guys always claim the delta igbos aren't full igbos grin grin but because these ones are successful they are full blown igbos. Pick a narrative and stick to it.

Isn't it true that Igbos are leaving the east in droves? Heading to South west and the north. The thing is its not these Billionaires that are leaving but the youths, so it's them you should direct whatever you want to preach to, you will find them here plenty on nairaland ....do ask them to stop fighting on nairaland and embrace the JOBS these billionaires are supposed to have created

If only the Igbos know the negative consequence of moving out of their region in large number every year. You create increased services in the region you move into by bettering the lots of the locals at the detriment of your region where demand for services become plummet due to low population. Low population does discourage investors from investing in your region as low population equals low demand for goods and services.

Igbo must find a way of slowing down the ugly trend. Government prioritize pubic spending in favour of regions that need funding the most. If you then boost other region population by emigrating into their space you are simply helping them to drive public spending.

What the Igbos just need is just one standard seaport
The FG and the Yoruba’s are so afraid to let that happen

I think you need to be informed now that there is seaport in Port Harcourt and Warri with full capacity but the Igbo are not using it. If you listen to Gov. Rotimi Amaechi recently on Channelstv that is exactly what the Ministers said. The Igbo prefer to come to Lagos to clear there good instead of using Port Harcourt for a good that is heading Onicha. Does that make sense?
