The Federal Government will welcome collaboration with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in key aspects of improving the economy including the Ease of Doing Business, the privatization of public enterprises, amongst others, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

Prof. Osinbajo stated this in Abuja today when a delegation from the Nigerian Stock Exchange led by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Oscar Onyeama, paid him a courtesy visit at the Presidential Villa.

The Vice President said the proposed NSE collaboration with the Federal Government important programmes of the Buhari administration would enhance service delivery and improve transparency in public governance.

According to him, “The collaboration with the Federal Government in the Ease of Doing Business, government’s privatization programme and even in the innovation hubs programme is a good thing, and I think it will be very helpful.

“The NSE’s participation and collaboration in our Quarterly Business Forum and the competitiveness council will also be very useful. So, generally I think collaborating with the NSE in different initiatives is a good idea.”

Speaking further on the benefits derivable from such collaboration, the Vice President said, “the participation of the NSE will bring about more transparency and credibility in the sale of public enterprises, and we will look into that aspect”.

Prof. Osinbajo said the Federal Government would make efforts to further improve the ease of doing business environment and also key into any initiative that promotes innovation and creativity.

Earlier in his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Oscar Onyeama briefed the Vice President on the proposed collaboration with the Federal Government in the operationalization of the Exchange’s innovation hub and other initiatives of the Federal Government, to which the NSE is willing to support.

Osinbajo will surely be president someday and if he were to run in 2023, he will win!

The people that predicted that Buhari and Atiku will share the Northern votes have started predicting the North will vote for a Northern candidate in 2023.

The first thing you should all note is that there is nothing like a homogenous North. The North Central States are not Hausa-Fulani and do not vote like the Fulani core north. In fact the North central and the South West have had the same voting pattern since 2003. And in recent years they both split their votes between Buhari and Atiku in 2019, they both voted Buhari in 2015 and both voted Jonathan in 2011.

So if the 2023 election were to take place today between say Osinbajo/Elrufai vs Tambuwal/Obi, here will be the results

1. All South West States will voted for Osinbajo.

2. Osinbajo will win 5 North Central states. He will certainly win Kwara, Kogi, nasarawa, Plateau and Benue. These guys dont love core northerners either. They've always felt used by the Fulani people and always looking to break free. Moreover Kwara and Kogi have a sizeable Yoruba population and the other states are predominantly Christian

3. The South East as expected will vote Tambuwal or even if it were Kwankwaso

4. Osinbajo will marginally win in the South South. He will win in Edo and Delta for sure. He will also marginally win in Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom. They will choose him because he is a Christian over any of those northerners. He will lose Rivers and Bayelsa because of Wike and Jonathan.

5. Now comes the North West. All he needs is Buhari's support and he will win Katsina. If Elrufai is his vp then he will win Kaduna and with Buhari's support he will do well in the other states.

6. Guys like Tambuwal and Kwankwaso are not popular at all in the North East. Osinbajo will win Taraba and Adamawa and he will do will in States like Borno and Yobe.

Summary is that Osinbajo is the man to beat in the coming election. APC will certainly not present Tinubu because he has too much baggage. But Osinbajo is likeable and more generally accepted across the country. With a little help from Buhari in the North he will be our next president.

Void news. Dumb leaders with no game changing or innovative or even useful ideas.

Tell us in plain English, how is the collobaration useful?
What regulations or policies will be introduced to ensure transparency, encountability and security?

What are the programmes to ensure ease of doing business?
All they do is make sub standard promises that they can't even translate to reality in ground.

And this is even a professor!

Compared to leaders of the likes of Putin and other leaders, I always cringe when I watch our leaders on interviews.
They have nothing to offer to the citizens.

But we need to survive between now and that miracle year, 2023. How, how do we survive. Everything is upside down as we speak. We need to deliver this country from the self imposed leaders. I will pray there is a country called Nigeria by 2023.
