If you're close to or above fourty and your major strategy for surviving has been avoiding responsibility, then its reasonably certain your life will end in regret....unless you start thinking and acting differently from today.

Ask for help if you need to, swallow your pride, do whatever it takes...just make your life count for something.

This is not about impressing anyone else. It is all about you. You may have been successful at fooling everyone around you with your excuses and justifications, but you never fooled the person who matters the most; the one in the mirror.

Regret is more painful and tormenting than anything else in the world simply because a little action/decision in the right direction could have changed everything.
