There are about 3 different appeals.

DP confirms he just lost the one challenging the validity of the order that was used to suspend him.

Which probably means he will lose the appeal on if CCT had the ability to hear hos case at all.

The last appeal was should the chairman of the CCT have reaccused himself.

So it was expected..

Any one challenging the FG should just forget about the appeal court and pray for a miracle at the supreme court.
Two longstanding members of the Supreme court have close family members strongly tied to PDP- should we ask for their resignation or not accept any APC defeat at the Supreme court.

Before you answer, note they are both southerners as I know that is what is most important in your mind.

The Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal on Friday struck out an appeal by the ex-Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, challenging an ex parte order of the Code of Conduct Tribunal issued on January 23, 2019, for his suspension from office pending his trial before the tribunal.



In a unanimous judgment by the three-man bench led by Justice Stephen Adah, the Court of Appeal, however, ruled that the CCT’s ex parte order breached the ex-CJN’s right to fair hearing.

Justice Adah, who read the lead judgment, noted that the court proceedings ought not to be conducted “in a shady or clandestine maneuver” as manner in which the ex parte order was obtained by the prosecution.

He, however, struck out the matter on the grounds that the substantive matter had been concluded by the CCT, which ended in the ex-CJN’s conviction on charges of false and non-declaration of assets.

President Muhammadu Buhari had, on the strength of the ex parte order, suspended Onnoghen from office on January 25.

he did not lose, the appeal was only struck out due to being over run by recent events
this was an appeal against his former suspension not his conviction.

bro You said MEMBERS of supreme court( if at all there is any such tie) and am saying HEAD of appeal Court.. We both know the influence of both can't be the same..

He actually succeeded at the appeal but, the appeal has been overtaken by events thereby struck Out.
