In any event, 60 instructors of the University of Ibadan Staff School in Oyo State have challenged the expulsion of their names from the finance of the University workforce.

The dissidents were driven by the Chairman, Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), UI section, Comrade Wale Akinremi, an organization of his Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) partner, Comrade Malachi Etim.

Akinremi said around 65 instructors are as of now influenced.

He further revealed that the association took up the issue after a congress goal, and had composed a letter in May 2019, toward that path to the organization's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Idowu Olayinka.

He included that when the administration faltered in respecting the letter or even recognized it, they made plans to open challenge to squeeze home their interest, adding that they are prepared to work with the administration to at last let the issue go.

Akinremi stated: "the entire situation radiated from a letter from the Federal Government which was confused to expel instructors of staff school from pay move of administrative colleges.

"A similar Federal Government took us to the new court and explicitly in suit number NICN/ABJ/82/2016, judgment dated December 5, 2016, the court decided for the staff associations maintaining that the college will bear the full capital and repetitive expenses of college staff grade schools.

"As I am conversing with you, three years after this judgment, the instructors have not come back to the finance of the college. Data available to us, on the reason of the decision of the National Industrial Court demonstrates that most colleges which reacted to the before round from the Permanent Secretary, pay rates salaries and wages commission have reestablished the educators of their staff schools back to the finance.

"College of Jos, Federal University of Technology Akure, (FUTA), University of Ilorin, University of Abuja, University of Lagos, every single government college have agreed. For what reason is the situation about University of Ibadan extraordinary?"
