Yes, how can a sane man in his normal self still lay claims or say that the person whose name is clearly written as "TOBECHUKWU" alias TOBI say she is not igbo so the tobechukwu there no meaning? it would be very unwise and shame to the igbos to lay claims on names like "SIMISOLA" "FOLARUNSHO" "YEMI"
So what will you say of Rotimi Amaechi? My sister in-laws name is Anuoluwapo, both parents are Igbo and she does not understand a word of Yoruba. She was named after her mother's best friend. She had trouble when seeking admission into NEKEDE, because of her name.
There are many Igbos answering Yoruba and even hausa first names.

Tobi is an English name my brother. Another variation of the name is Tobey. Have you watched Need for speed?

I think it originate from Hebrew.

Tobi isn’t an English name and you should stop watching ‘Need for Speed’. Tobi was coined from Tobechukwu. Tobechukwus can also answer TC or TCee just as Chiadikobi can be called Kobi.

It is not possible on a 4.0 GPA scale to make a 6.9. Not possible my people.

This scam report is suggesting a student in Nigeria can score 150% on a academic grade scale of 100%. Is that possible in Nigeria? If its not here how is it possible anywhere else?
olodoooooo research before u type there is something called ap classes that any student trying to go to a competitive Uni has to and I mean has to take its harder courses like Uni 1st yr courses but u wouldn't know this of course you can even get 8 out of 4 GPA you can get 150% out of 100 in a test If u do it exceptionally it's not Nigeria where u are punished for being ahead so pls research this and stop embarrassing urself

Tobi is that not a yoruba name.
If you had paid attention, you would have noticed that the Tobi is a shortened version of Tobechukwu.

phonemakemoney:
TOBI PHILLIPs has YORUBA and IGBO Parents stop the tribalism NCAN.
You're wrong. The Tobi was put in inverted commas, showing it to be a shortened form of Tobechukwu, like a nickname.

I thought yorubas are as briliant as they claim so when you see something like this TOBECHUKWU "TOBI" or CHIZARAM "CHIZZY" or even EMEKA "EMMY" so they dont know the meaning of these symbols "" illiteracy is a curse. "spits"
Then continue your tribalism since its has been of benefit to you.

Tobi is that not a yoruba name.

Stop behaving dull because of jealousy, most people that bear tobechi, tobenna and tobechukwu usually short it to tobi. That’s why you can see the quotation mark on the tobi.

Gosh unbelievable
Because Enoch is his family name.

Now I believe envy has beclouded your reasoning.
Chioma(Davido girl) is her surname not Rowland. So you are implying that she is not Igbo because of the Rowland she bears? But Enoch is Yoruba?

Chai see wetin envy Dey do old man.

When did igbo start bearing Tobi and Philip?

Lol this is the dumbest thing I have heard this year. So Philip is now a Yoruba name?

My friend Emeka, when he lost his dad few years ago he changed his surname to his late fathers name, which was innocent, I have another friend too he their dad refused them bearing the normal family name, instead the bear their fathers name as surname.

Igbos who bear tobechukwu, tobechi or tobenna shorten their name to tobi.
As for the tobi you could clearly see it was in a quote.
