After around two years of quarreling, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has ended its pontoons pilotage observing and supervision concurrence with Intels Nigeria Limited. In a letter dated March 29, 2019, routed to the Managing Director of Intel's, which was gotten by GISTOK, NPA said the choice to repudiate the agreement was taken following Article 8 (C) of its concurrence with Intels, dated February 11, 2011.

In a letter dated March 27, 2019, routed to the Managing Director of NPA, Hadiza Bala-Usman, NPA's Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Mohammed Bello-Koko, had blamed Intels for rebelliousness with the presidential mandate and round on usage of Treasury Single Account (TSA) and Article 4.1 of the executed supplemental understanding by declining to transmit the entirety of $145, 849,309.33 being extraordinary administration pontoon income created from November 1, 2017 to October 31, 2018.

As indicated by Bello-Koko, Article 4.1 of the executed supplemental understanding states, "The complete income produced for the foremost in every one of the pilotage areas from the administration pontoon activities will be paid straightforwardly into the main's TSA at assigned business banks which will be cleared day by day into the key's comparing TSA at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)."
