Overcoming the world Part 2

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Beloved, yesterday you were told that only a man who is born of GOD and has faith in Him can overcome the world and such man must be deeply rooted in faith through consistent and persistent fellowship with the Word of GOD.

Furthermore, to overcome the world;
... You must flee from iniquity and keep yourself from being polluted in this present world.
John 5:18 ... but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself...

You can fellowship with the Word and you will not bring forth fruit of righteous and also not strengthen the faith. How is this possible?

This occurs when you live in inquity and sin. The word of GOD is a seed, it requires a fertile ground for it to grow and thereby faith is strengthened. But when the ground of your life is full of sin and iniquity, the word of GOD becomes ineffective in your life and faith is hindered. Inquity are thorns which choke the Word of GOD.

Luke 8:14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Now, Beloved worldly lust (the cares, riches, pleasures of life) and the lust of the flesh degrades faith in GOD. Iniquity and sin are thorns that hinders your faith in GOD from growing.

Do you want to overcome the World?

You need to keep yourself consecrated and sanctified to GOD. A typical example is Daniel and Joseph. They remained sanctified and consecrated and they were able to overcome.

Others may, I will not - let this be your commitment. When others are compromising and partaking sin and inquity, be different and stand out.

Daniel 1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

Decide today to be different, decide today that you will not no longer defile yourself. The time is now!!!

Finally Beloved, the wicked one is looking for whom to stray away from the faith but for you not to be a victim and be able to overcome, you must keep yourself from sin and inquity: worldly pleasures, cares of this world and fleshly lust. You will overcome the world when you;
... Have faith in GOD i.e believing that Jesus Christ is the Son of GOD
... growing in faith and this is possible when you
+++ fellowship daily and consistently with the word of GOD and
+++ keep yourself from the world and its pleasures (affections).

Beloved, be different, stand out, be consecrated and sanctified.

May the Lord give you the grace to obey His Word.
