Bilstein are the best in the business. Guys on Mbworld and MB medic swear by them. Shipping (DHL/FedEx), and Customs charges will make up the price difference. While you are it, check out the price for the 4matic models (will be three to four times that, i can assure you)

That has always been the challenge of ordering items with much shipping weight for airfreight. What other alternative are you considering?

Sincerely i don't know. But one thing for sure, Sea freight will definitely be cheaper but airfreight is no no due to the high cost in shipping except for items with reasonable weight. But i feel the only way he can successfully achieve that is if there's someone sending a containerized shipment from the USA, then that can be bought and added as part of the consignment.

Many have been bringing in consignments this way without any problem. I guess Port rats can only happen if there's a delay in clearing after the shipment arrives. The clearing agent has to be on top of the situation.

It's only a suggestion but there might be a better option.

But most C300 I see around are 4matics. Even the 2010 to 2018 models

There are alot of non 4matics around including the C63 that is only available in RWD.
Most of the C300 4matics u see are wearing fake badges.
The mentality here is that 4matics are for those who have made it in life and trust the Nigerian band wagon mentality.

@weyreypey, this is the method i feel should be cheaper even though may not be as swift as airfreight but will be definitely cheaper.

The shocks are very firm and comfy. I changed the sway bar because the old one's brackets were weak and nobody was willing to sell a complete set of brackets and bushings alone for anything less than 60k.
It's a 4matic, parts are unnecessarily expensive, yours shouldn't be that expensive, used OEM 4matic coils on Ebay or even Amazon will set you back well financially.

4matics are no go area for small boys like me o.

My fine boy Doctor friend who is a Benz fan wants to buy a car, he doesn't want the c230k cos of the interior wahala, he prefers the much talked about w203 C320, 2006/07 model but now, he thinks its a fuel guzzler cos its V6, hence, he is now considering a 2006 or 07 Lexus IS 250....Can u enlighten him pls on which one to go for?

Driver side signal repeater should be 12k max.
There is no disadvantage using the " manual" compressor...it's more solid than the automatic.
Misfires can be a lot of things...plugs, coils, nozzles, airmass.

The IS250 is a V6 also the advantage the Lexus has over the C320 facelift

1. Engine wise, cheaper to acquire, the 4GR is not more than 100k

2. luxurious finish the IS has more standard luxurious equipment (speaker,Nav, park assist etc)

3. Reliability rates the IS above the C class.

4. The IS is not popular on road so your friend may not get bored of it.

Both cars are still good, I am certain if he is able to view both and get a test drive he would certainly know his choice.

Would it be OK for a 1st benz?

1. The M112 engine is cheap too

2. But the Benz has nice speakers and interior too. I really don't like the dash and seat of the is250
