LIVERPOOL star Sadio Mane will not be joining Real Madrid with Florentino Perez unwilling to fork out for the Senegal international, according to reports.

Mane was strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid when Zinedine Zidane returned to the Bernabeu back in March.

Speculation of a transfer has, however, cooled down in recent times with the La Liga giants appearing to look elsewhere.


Real Madrid are understood to covet the arrival of Eden Hazard, who appears primed to join from Chelsea once the Blues’ Europa League final with Arsenal is done.

And they also want Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, who has filtered with a move to Spain.
Zidane, however, reportedly still wants Mane.

But Spanish pundit Eduardo Inda has claimed that Peez has blocked a move - because he feels the Senegal international would be too pricy.

"Zidane has differences with Thibaut Courtois, having wanted to continue with Keylor,” he said.

“Pogba is closer than we think.

“And Mane, Liverpool has asked 200 million euros (£175m) and Florentino has said no.”
