A group operating under the auspices of Noah”S Ark International Peace Project has expressed its unalloyed support for Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, the House of Rep-elect member representing-Okinawa South (Ehime, Mbano/Ihitte, Uboma/Obowo) in the federal constituency seat of Imo State as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Noah”S Ark International Peace Project is a Non -Governmental Organization working for the improvement of friendship, harmony, peace and religious tolerance among all the ethnic groups in the Nigeria and beyond.
Speaking at a press conference held in Lagos yesterday, to project Nwajiuba as the rightful candidate of the House Speaker, President of the group, Amb. Prince Godwin Korieocha stated, that the group is totally in support of Hon Nwajiuba to clinch the office of the Speaker, Federal House of Representative in the 9th Assembly
Korieocha who hailed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the judiciary for retrieving this mandate to Hon Nwajiuba, called on the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to consider the South East in the zoning of its principal offices especially the Speakership position.
Amb. Korieocha emphasized that such zoning has become necessary, considering the fact, that APC has made progress in 2019 elections. He therefore declared that zoning such a position to the zone will lead to national stability, inclusiveness, reconciliation, and consolidation of the APC in the South East geo political zone.
According to Korieocha, “Hon. Nwajiuba a lawyer was called to the Nigerian bar in 1989 pursued his LLM at University of Lagos and PhD in Law at University of Jos. He had served as a Member of the House of Representatives committee and was made chairman on Land, Housing and works between 1999 and 2003, before contesting Imo governorship on the platform of APP in 2003, 2007 and as CPC candidate in 2011. He was secretary of the Constitution drafting committee that produced the Constitution of the merger committee to form APC in 2013. He serves as a Non-Executive Director in Unitrust Insurance Co. Ltd and many other organizations. Hon Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba was also the Chairman of TETFUND”.
“With all these robust attributes, we are quite convinced that Nwajiuba will deliver as expected. And being a Lawyer of International repute, philanthropist, peace lover, humble servant, crusader of unity & progress of Nigeria, financial analyst and investment adviser, there is no doubt that he would bring all these attributes to improve the leadership of the House”.
“We believe that we his wealth of experiences, he will bring it to bear in the unity and progress in the national assembly, which in turn, will bring development to our nation. This man is the people’s Choice for the Office of the Speaker Federal House of Representative in the 9th Assembly”, Amb. Korieocha added.
Amb Korieocha equally advised Hon Nwajiuba’s political party and all well-meaning Nigerians to give the promising Nigerian patriot a chance to demonstrate his political savvy which he said that, the House needed at this period of the 9th Assembly.
