the solution is to have good transport system between lagos, Ogun and oyo. Then, people can live in neighbouring state n work in lagos, just as in developed nations.

Learn to take your time to think before you type.

A lagosian calling Onikan stadium renovations a mediocrity?
You are the one who is not using his brain.
Why can't you both explain to us what is mediocre about it?

Lagos needs an urgent deescalation of its population. This can easily be done by relocating about 4% of its population in rural areas to Ibadan and Abeokuta, every year until we achieve a New York-like status for it. As it stands now, I can't see myself living in Lagos and having to spend an average of 3 hours every day in the traffic.
I think that's is been done now. like the dry port plan for ibadan

the solution is to have good transport system between lagos, Ogun and oyo. Then, people can live in neighbouring state n work in lagos, just as in developed nations.

Lagos is an economic capital, people must rush in.

This is just a tip from the number of paliatives. If they relocate to neighboring cities or states as you said and still work in Lagos, the traffic will still be there.

If you notice well, the traffic is mostly during closing hours and rush hours. Anything from 11 am to 2:30 pm most roads are very free.

To me, the solutions are:

Creating parking spaces(some parking spaces will generate funds for the govt ) in most streets and roads, this will allow free short cuts using some streets to link out to wherever you are going.

2.. Creating more motorable bridges where needed

3.. There are some areas that are occupied by locked up shops, they should relocate the occupiers to other provided places and creAte alternative roads to expand the roads. Least lanes in any road in Lagos should four lanes..

4.. Water transport should be really integrated. Thus, people will take the routes especially from ikorodu to the island, from oworo to the island, linking another one to idumota...

5. Inter train(railways)passage is very key.
6. When i went to Egypt, I took Short Helicopter from my hotel to the airport. This I learnt was on govt/public/private partnership.
The fees were not too cheap but affordable. They convey just 6 people.

Lagos is already in that stage of mega metro...

And of course, your Points too...

AutoReportNG2:
One obvious thing about the outgoing governor of Lagos State Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode is that he is a lover of sports, especially football. You can't live in Lagos without being a sports person. In fact, one of the cardinal objectives of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration is Project T.H.E.S.E, an acronym which stands for Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment and Sports for Excellence.

Onikan Stadium is a popular stadium in Lagos state, it's a stadium which has played host to series of games across the length and breadth of the nation. The objective of the Lagos State Government is to turn the Onikan axis into world-class entertainment and tourism zone with special focus on sports and showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the State.

The Onikan Stadium, located on Lagos Island close to Tafawa Balewa Square, was built in 1930.

The stadium was formerly named King Geroge V before it was renamed Lagos City Stadium.

The stadium was last renovated in the 1980s.

The stadium is famous for being the home ground for top Nigerian clubs such as Stationery Stores FC, First Bank, and Julius Berger and has a sitting capacity of 5,000.

The stadium also played host to the 1999 Youth World Cup, hosted by Nigeria.

The stadium which was meant to have been completed since January 2019 has faced lots of hiccups due to the political tussle the outgoing governor was going through. In March, we reported on the slow pace of work on this edifice as the contractor handling the project, Slavabogu Nigeria Ltd seems lost as to what to do.

When completed, the Onikan Stadium will be able to accommodate spectators of 5000 people and the edifice will accommodate up to 8,000 and 9, 000.

AutoReportNG was in Onikan over the weekend and so far, the level of work on this edifice is encouraging. Please note that outsiders are allowed access to the site, we don't know why its a problem taking pictures of Lagos State Govt but we always have our way, we strive to go the extra length and we got some images from those working there who are kind enough to send us some images.

So far, the roofings have been fixed, the tiling is ongoing, the seats are being laid as we speak and many other things being done simultaneously.

Remote worker!

There is a lot of service industry in Lagos and their worktasks often require data entry on a workstation. So exapand broadband connectivity and innovate with remote coshare office space.

People that work in Ikoyi but live in Agege can drive or walk into a coshare hub located in their neighborhood in Agege and connect via secured line to their cloud server and work as if they are in office in Ikoyi.

Thank God for Lagos godfather, we are doing it!

Sad that Ambo, is solely interested in making a name for himself.

Projects that people oriented are total forgotten. The health sector in Lagos state is in comatose state. Lagosians daily suffer due to uncontrolled traffic jam.
