Heavyweight boxing sensation, Anthony Joshua, has made known his prediction of who will win the Champions League between Tottenham and Liverpool come June 1.

The British/Nigerian heavyweight boxer predicted that Tottenham will beat Liverpool when the two teams face off at the Wanda Metropolitano this weekend in the Champions League final.

When Liverpool and Tottenham face each other in their biggest game of the season on Saturday in Madrid, European glory will be on the line with Spurs looking to win their first ever Champions League, while Liverpool are aiming to win the trophy for the sixth time.
On the same night over 3,500 miles away, Anthony Joshua will be defending his world titles against Andy Ruiz Jr in a heavyweight title clash at Madison Square Garden.

It promises to be a momentous night for British sport fans with Joshua’s fight expected to air on Sky Sports just hours after the Champions League final finishes.

And ahead of the huge game in Madrid, Joshua has made his prediction.

When asked by FightHype at the grand arrival’s reception for the start of fight week in New York who he thought would win, he noted he didn’t watch too much sport.

“I don’t really watch soccer you know, I don’t even really watch too much sport,” he said.

“Boxing is the only sport I really watch.”

But when probed again on who he thought would come out of Saturday’s game victorious, Joshua stayed true to his roots.

“Tottenham. London,” he added.

Joshua was born in Watford, close to north London and currently resides in the surrounding area too.

The world champ has been talking about the task in hand, Ruiz Jr, on Saturday, stating it’s been a long road to get to this point.

“It’s my time to shine now, so it’s good, I feel the buzz, it’s really good,” he said.

“There’s steps, without all the hardship I went through. I’d never be at MSG and without the fight Saturday night, going through the tough times, emotions, physical struggle, I’d never get to Wilder.

“So I’ve got to get through that and straight on to the big fight.”

Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino will battle it out for the chance to win the top prize in club football as two English teams grace the Champions League final for the first time since 2008 when Chelsea and Manchester United did so.
