This present crop of flying eagles are the worst have ever seen in recent times. Poor ball movement, no ideas in front of goal, flat footed defending, no creative midfielders, match winners and Generally the coaching is tactically deficient.

I don't see them going further than the round of 16 even they scrape past the group stage as third place as it's most likely they meet France. That's their bus stop!...There is no need expecting anything from the team, they are not just up to it, they lack quality and these set of players will be forgotten, we know how it goes.

Head coach of Nigeria’s U-20 side, Paul Aigbogun, has said that his players have learnt from their mistakes ahead of their final Group D fixture against Ukraine at the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.

Aigbogun claims that their game plan was disrupted against the United States on Monday, because of the early goals they conceded in both halves of the tie.

It was the Flying Eagles’ first defeat in Poland after they had opened their account with a 4-0 bashing of Qatar.

Aigbogun, addressing the media ahead of the Ukraine clash, stated that he expects a response from his side in the final game of the group stage.

“I will say that the early goal we conceded unsettled our players and they were not able to stick to the game-plan that was earmarked for them.

“We were not at our best but we won’t allow this to dampen our morale because the ultimate is to qualify for the next round. We apologise for the defeat but we are assuring Nigerians that they shall see an improved team against Ukraine.

“The boys were not happy with their performance and they were all distraught after the game. They have been told what they must improve on. It was not that they were totally poor against but the goals they scored against us had a telling effect on them and they were unable to recover,” he said.

Ukraine play well on WC U20. Their goalkeeper Lunin and defender Bondar play strong enough.
The game with Nigeria does not have such a big tournament value for Ukraine. Nigeria needs a victory.
