Prof. Ben Ayade has stepped aside as the Governor of Cross River State for his Deputy, Professor Ivara Esu, as he assumes the role of project manager. According to Prof. Ben Ayade, he stepped aside as the Governor of Cross River State for his Deputy to concentrate on overseeing the completion of his industrialization projects spread across the state in his second term. At his swearing-in ceremony at U. J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Prof. Ben Ayade revealed that his new role going forward will be to personally oversee the completion of projects while his Deputy would function as acting governor.
