President Muhammadu Buhari have depart Abuja to attend the Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

In a statement by Garbar Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant, (Media & Publicity), President Buhari is expected to attend the 14th session of the Summit Conference of the OIC, scheduled to hold on Friday. The conference will be hosted by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia and attended by Heads of State and Governments of Member States.

Part of the statement read,"

"According to the OIC secretariat the summit to be convened under the theme "Makkah al-Mukarrah Summit: Hand in Hand towards events in the Islamic world.

"President Buhari is expected to address the forum and underscore the need for member countries to unite and work together to combat common challenges such as terrorism and vident extremism.

"The President will also push forward theme that have been at the forefront of his domestic and international priorities including reving the Lake Chad Basin, investing in Nigeria to create jobs and Financing for development.

"On the margins of the summit, the Nigerian leader will hold bilateral meetings with world leaders to promote increased cooperation and collaboration on issues of mutual concern,"

President Buhari is expected back in Nigeria on June 2nd.

THE POOR PRESIDENT IN A RICH NATION

The poor president in a rich nation- he is worth 30 million, 270 cows, 25 sheep, five horses, birds and economic trees, five houses in Kaduna, Daura, Kano and Abuja. And the Daura houses were made of “mud.”

In a land where a musician has '30 billion in his account' , its president is N30 million worth! Who is this man and why is he always redefining life as a piece of worthless sojourn where regardless of your accumulation, you are going to leave it empty and void?

If the life of this man doesn't awe you, inspire you and make you contented with whatever comes your way, then you have a problem grappling with the awesomeness of life.

This is the time for investigative journalists to go deeper in search of the worth of this man beyond what he has submitted in his assets declaration. The mystery and otherwise of this man must be unravelled, we must know the DNA of his existence why greed, insatiable needs and materialism does not define his creed.

One would have thought a day after swearing in, the President, knowing how long it took him to settle down in his first term, would have gotten to work and not begin another endless round of futile meetings.
