36-year-old, Chizoba Ogbonna, have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force in Abriba-Ohafia area of Abia State, for staging her own kidnapping.

The divorced mother of three did this with the aid of her 30-year-old boyfriend, Joseph Ezema and a mutual friend, Uche Anthony.

They were all arrested following a report from one Stanley Ogbonna that his sister, Chizoba, a graduate of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, Imo State, was kidnapped.

According to reports the suspects demanded N2million as ransom and N500,000 had already been paid before the IRT operatives swooped on them.

The abduction was staged to extort money from her relatives and she intended to use it to travel out of the country, with her boyfriend, a dropout whom she met on Facebook in 2018.
