From the same legal point of view, a woman does not have the right to deny a husband who legally married her sex. The story looks like the man wanted sex but the woman was not in the mood and he forced himself in, it's difficult to call it rape.

She has 5 children, what if she wanted safe sex and he refused? or she simply wasn't in the mood?

I don't understand why a Nigerian writer, writing for a Nigerian media firm, and reporting about a man based in Nigeria, a story that will basically only be circulated in Nigeria is repeatedly referring to the man as "a Nigerian man".

I was also shocked, at some posters asking how a man can rape his wife. Very surprising to me. I’m not sure what kind of men we have in this country.

Maybe it’s due to lack of education as the illiteracy rate is high in Nigeria.
