Hello everyone:

I was just wondering if anybody in Nairaland knows
what I can do to get my money that UBA bank has.

I am a Nigerian but I don't reside in the country.
I was home in 2006 and the left-over of the money
I came home with, I left in an account I had with
one of UBA branches in Aba.

I was home again in July/August of this year and I
went to deposit money in the account but I was told
the account was closed last year for inactivity. I
was not informed about account closure even though
they had my email address and a Nigerian contact number.
I inquired about the money I had in it but I was told
to write an application requesting for it. I did the
application and it was dated August 12, 2010 but I
have not received any money from the bank yet. I have
written and called several times only to be given
excuses. Where I live, it won't take a day for me to
get my money. Something seems to be wrong with this.

Does anybody know what I can do to get my money? Is
there a body or an organisation that I can file a
complaint with? Somebody please help.
