Two legged final and VAR was used for the first leg, only for referee to refused using VAR on the ground that it has technical problem after Wydad Casablanca scored a clean goal, which the referee ruled out anyway.
The trophy was eventually given to the Tunisian side after Wydad refused to continue if VAR can't be used.

Check well. The article said VAR stopped working and the players were not aware. Only the officials were aware. That's tampering with the integrity of the game because the referee should have stopped the game immediately till they fix the VAR or get the info accross to the players promptly and also seek their confirmation if the game should be continued without VAR. It was only when Wydad demanded that their disallowed goal be reviewed that they knew VAR had stopped working. That's rubbish

Even though VAR is not compulsory , it was used in the first leg in Morocco and this led to Wydad having a goal disallowed. Equity precludes that same rules have to apply in the 2nd leg. CAF really bungled it this time , to use the VAR technology is not a must if you don't have the wherewithal.

Don't mind us. Despite the fact that UK is more technologically advanced than all the countries in Africa they did not introduce VAR into the Premier League last season.
