5 Christian Misconceptions About Masturbation by menvocate(m): 9:38am On Jun 03, 2019
Introduction

One prevalent behaviour among Christians is the eagerness to classify things in the black or white section. So, it’s easy to quickly call someone a sinner than to accept this someone that had the same type of struggle that Paul had kept praying to God about (although the bible never told us the infirmity that was prayed about but we surely knew he kept praying to God to remove something from his life).
It was the same infirmity (of stealing) that affected Judas. He was a staunch believer of Jesus to the extent that his true intention of betraying Jesus was to see him disappear among those that caught him. Remember, he had witnessed Jesus disappear from the crowd before. This is a man that made a lot of money from seeing the part of the purse no one was seeing; getting his riches from the account that no one expected to be available.
For the other disciples to write about his habit, it must have been a common knowledge, which implied that Jesus held him closer. The difference between Paul and Judas was that one was determined to be ridded of his infirmity while the other was eager to use it to his gain.
In the case of masturbation for a Christian brother (and sister- they are crazily secretive), there are various questions that are yet to be answered such as the ones that will be briefly debunked
1.

‘I have committed a sin that can never be forgiven’?
I must put it to you: masturbation is a habit that, if left unchecked, can last for years and be easily relapsed into. So, the first thing you should know is that it is a habit. So, if you are a first time masturbator, please read our section for first time Masturbator. Before you become buried in its stench, this is what you should do.

[b[Some Christian believe they are bedevilled or that one village grandmother has cast spell on them; [/b]

hence, their need for masturbation
The truth is this: you allowed your hunger for intimacy get over you as well as your fear. A normal confident unbeliever (or street boys) will find it hard to masturbate, not because he is immune to it, but because he is confident enough to talk to some girls about his desire to have sex with them. Hey, I’m not telling to go there to have sex, but that’s the first reason for your masturbation. No? Then, what? You just woke up one morning and decided to masturbate?
Face the mirror.
Slap yourself. You’re lying to yourself and have been doing that for so long that you can’t even differentiate the truth from a lie.

Masturbation Will Get You To Hell?

Masturbation is not the one that will get you to hell. You will. When you refuse to acknowledge it as something that can be fought and something that is not yours, then you’re on your way to hell. Sin, the bible says, shall not have dominion over you; yet, it will fight you. Paul was writing in the book of Romans of how we have to fight the temptations and tribulations of our habits but Chapter 8 clearly introduced how all that matters for you is the mind.
Peter Ayo-Alabi was teaching in his message ‘Frequently (Un)Asked Question and he said you should continue confessing who you’re in God… Keep saying, ‘I am the righteousness of God’. There was the story of a smoker he used: the man kept repeating the phrase even when he was smoking until he didn’t have the desire any longer. Calm down, it will take time.

4.

Deliverance, Fasting and Prayer Will Help You Stop It?

Na lie… See, you will finish saying your prayer and in the next minute, you are back to the places you used to have it. If you waste your time, you will soon have to crawl back to the position to cry and beat up yourself for allowing the devil take charge. This is not a devil. This is another hunger you must beat down.
Do you fight being overweight by praying or do you get to that gym to fight the rubbish out of your body?

5. Church Activities Will Kill It

Are you whining me? What church activities do to you is to even excite you the more and make you look for something to calm your nerves. Church activities are good for you but not for fighting your habit.

So, what’s the next thing to do?
– Stay Tuned To Menvocate
-Talk to someone and tell them to keep asking you for progress.
– Keep repeating the phrases even when you’re getting yourself high
– Don’t give up in fighting the habit. It’s true that there are no rehab centres for masturbators but you can try to avoid those little things that trigger you.
This might seems generic at the end but they’re just formula that will work after you have taken the decision to get The Hell out of That Room and Fight The Damn Thing.
It’s not a devil. It’s another habit that must be fought as such and not as a demon. Just that, this habit takes a longer while to fight than the other.
