Are you looking for a brutally effective, inexpensive and back-to-basics type of conditioning exercise? And Heavy rope training could be right up your alley. This 's simply a type of workout where you use a thick, heavy rope for various polls, swings, etc.

It can be performed solo or with a partner. It's a lot like working with kettlebells, actually: It is a lot harder than it looks!

Here are a couple of sample workouts for you:

Battling Ropes

Heavy rope training is a fantastic workout. A simple conditioning workout would be to simply do battle rope workout for 30 seconds, rest about 15 seconds.

This is a good workout for muscle bodybuilding!
