So what caused the flooding? Is there a river around that area that over flowed it's banks?

Most times dams are being opened when it rains in abuja frm Niger state.

I can remember then I was young when dams was opened secretly.
A water board worker later informed us.


Tho.
People now buy houses on water ways from indigenous where lands are cheap cus of high costs of lands on the capital city. And build.

Quite sad. I know how they feel. Felt same way when Lekki was flooded back in 2016. Woke up and saw my room flooded that Saturday morning. Phones, laptop, home theater, box, fully submerged and my bed floating with me on top.
