Okay o

Buhari should do the follow up because he has the instruments of Government in his hands. What can we do than to shout, but he can monitor them to make sure they all make judicious use of the money.

And when he does you'll be shouting witchhunt. .............

Well constitutionally the FG lacks the powers to prosecute the governor's cause its purely state funds. That power rests with the States Legislators.

Governors should pay their back log of salary owed and those governors now oweing should use the money to pay part of their depts to bank.

My own suggestion.

There's no basis for Kano getting the same share as Oil-producing states, if Lagos didn't. Lagos has the population and the resources, yet it got #8billion while Kano got #10billion.

Katsina also got a larger share than Oyo State? How can Oyo be receiving the same share as Jigawa State?

Those calling for the dissolution or restructuring of Nigeria have a valid point. Only zombified idiots think that Nigeria has a future with the current structure and dumb president.

People are just saying rubbish comparing how an oil producing state will receive the same amount with non oil producing state, instead of holding this governor responsible to use this money judiciously. For record purpose this money is shared base on how much each state remit to Paris club. I keep telling people that the problem of Nigerian is not buhari but the bulk walk lies with the state governor now they have collected the money and keep quit if not for senator shehu sani who blue the whistle. 10 billion can change alot of infrastructure in a state

Shehu Sani can't keep secret. That's why INEC and the ruling class sent him parking. No matter the person in power, money must be shared.

Most state borrow money from Paris club since Nigerian got independence and have been paying back the loan got to a point they overpaid the loan and Paris club realized they have over collect the loan hence the need to refund the state

I think your response to my post is more applicable to you.

Who doesn't know that this refund was based on deductions from the allocations of each state over the same period of time?

Why didn't I query Bayelsa's lion share despite being the smallest and one of the youngest states in Nigeria? I know that Bayelsa receives a fatter allocation than many older states, hence a higher Paris refund since more funds were deducted from their allocations.

Paris refund is a reflection of the injustice in the disbursement of Federal allocations. Ironically, many of those northern states with lion share are lazy and bring nothing to the table.

I wish we practice a communist system of government cause democracy is a big scam....
most of these governor's should be 6ft under..
how many times have the fed government given state's this money ..
and no one knows what the money is used for

We do not need communism or socialism in Nigeria.

We need restructuring, true federalism, fiscal federalism and resource control.

That will make states to generate true wealth, grow their IGR and make progressive development.

If federal allocation was the instrument that can generate wealth Northern Nigeria will have been one of the richest as they have enjoyed far more Big oil money right from the PETRO-DOLLARS rain.

The biggest poverty ratio is in the north despite the sweet crude they have been spoilt with e.g early marriage issues, almajiri issues, Islamic more than one wife issues.

Even the crude oil producing states never enjoyed oil money because of the oil spill and environmental issues they are challenge with.

Until northern Nigeria political leadership change their belief and accept restructuring of our federal structure and pursue true wealth they will continue to face challenges with economic development.

Sharing the money of the good people of the Niger delta region to other states will only delay development in states in Nigeria.

This Paris club refund that buhari is giving to states to squander is the height of financial recklessness. This refund has been due since Okonjo time and she refused to release it because she knew the funds will be mismanaged. Why not use the funds to build infrastructure that will benefit the nation- why give it to governors that baba knows will only embezzle it.
