Question For The Rivers People by dns(m): 1:29pm On May 07, 2007
who are we? were do we come from? and were are we heading to? if this questions can be answered correctly then we can choose our leaders with making a mistake. the thing in there is that we all want to far in life without strech but yet cant learn to make it happen, to set a standard is every one aim, but to get started is the key that we all forget at thesame time. well in life their are kings and their are servants as well so think and choose the best part of it, but do also remember that; the holy book says that thou shall love the neahbore as thy self.

Most communities in the East are not interested in where they come from. That has helped in binding them together as one.
Attempts by some Rivers people to learn about their histories has led to distorted stories and divisions. This has brought so much animosity in Rivers state and her neigbours and within Rivers state.
For example, Ngwa, Etche and Ikwerre peoples in the past have always lived in peace, traded with one another and had seen each other as one. Then the Elechi Amadi's who were not trained historians started writing junk history of the Ikwerres and how they came from Iduu. All these and so on he wrote without a proof further divided this groups and disturbed the then existing peace amongst these groups.
What matters today is not where you come from 800 years ago but where you are today. I f you are in Rebisi, Diobu, Omuma, Ahoada, Omoku and you say Daalu to one another you are one and Igbo.
I f you are in Asari-toru and Akoku-toru and you understand each other, then you are one.
Rivers state people, do not be deceived further.
