Living and growing up in Nigeria has been so tough on me.... I try my best to learn some skills because of my passion for innovation and technology. Currently I have some issue in school after graduating since 2017 concerning school payment (School fee and department fee , which runs into hundreds of thousand due to family problem and no job to do to help me clear myself. During my time in school I learn skills like website development (frontend and backend) and I can build from scratch, I also learn graphic design and motion picture (All this through YouTube). Most of the job interview I go for always drop me because I don't have my nysc certificate. Am 28 years now and I don't want to keep doing job that don't pay up to 20k a month and I will still transport and feed. Please I will like to know if there are any chances outside Nigeria..... Somewhere I can really use my skills and gain employment, even if I have to start afresh in any school that is into these skills I have. Please help me... Recommend any country and tell me how to start and what I need. And if you think I still have a chance here please tell me what to do. I live with my senior sister in ABUJA. Thanks |

Travelling overseas can be expensive and stressful these days especially when you are not financially buoyant. I do recommend you sign up with some of these FREELANCE companies, upload your portfolios so people can see your previous works and hopefully contact you for jobs. https://www.mygraphicsite.com/graphic-design-freelance-websites/ https://www.freelancer.com/find/graphic-design?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsIyR99rf4gIViZOPCh0uSg8REAAYASAAEgILyfD_BwE&ft_prog=ANU&ft_prog_id=227295411741 https://www.konsus.com/lp/freelance-graphic-designer?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=1933924928&utm_adgroup=74422920641&utm_term=%2Bfreelance%20%2Bgraphic%20%2Bdesigner&utm_network=g&utm_adposition=1t3&utm_matchtype=b&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsIyR99rf4gIViZOPCh0uSg8REAAYAyAAEgLsV_D_BwE If you are financially okay, you can consider USA, Australia, Canada for studies and then hopefully find a job that will land you a permanent resident. You may also want to consider Rwanda as they are becoming a hub for tech companies in Africa. fnep2smooth: |

If you have internet, you can easily get a job to make you be at least comfortable. Freelance to get some dough. Learn how to write better proposal. You can even still make some cool dough in your Abuja area if you know your onion. Look for one of these small companies that is not online or have any internet presence, try to get them online by educating the management about the importance of being online. |

JobNowNowNg:Thanks for your kind reply but ABUJA is not as you think.... Employment here is base on certificate and qualification. I don't stand the chance to be employed when I have people with masters applying for the same position. Small company's in ABUJA prepare to give a standard web company to handle there site than giving an individual. Taking about freelance, I have two upwork account and I have never gotten any job, the thing just look frustrating. You don't know where to start or what to so. |

How much do you need to get your NYSC cert? It's not a guarantee for jobs though. |

WestAfrican: After your post I have done some research about Rwanda. I read that its hard getting a job there unless u start up a business there. |
