Ironi:
Nigerians are a scourge of the earth, creating mayhem anywhere they go.

They just kidnapped 2 Canadian volunteer workers in Ghana and had been involved in a shoot out with Ghanaian security forces yesterday during their rescue.

Four Nigerians have been arrested.

They are gradually destroying Ghana and I don’t like it at all.

The stupid ghanaian authorities are siting and watching whiles these scums mess up third country, WTF is this?

Ghana seems to have retards as leaders.

Deport all nigerians without papers and gainful employment from Ghana .

A single Nigerian in your country is one Nigerian too many.

Nation wreckers !
kai!!! Nation wreckers....

Not particularly bothered either way, but...

First, Ghana did NOT deport 700K Nigerians (Nigerian formal investment in the Ghanaian economy runs into hundreds of millions of US dollars), and while Cameroon forcefully returned some refugees from the Boko Haram insurgency, almost 40K Southern Cameroonian are presently living in refuge in Nigeria.

South Africans nonetheless have to realize that almost every working Nigerian household/family made PERSONAL sacrifices for their liberation. Every Nigerian worker in our parents generation had to cough up at least 2.5% of their gross wages towards the Southern African Relief Fund (that catered for South African, Zimbabwean and Namibian refugees).

Nigeria inflicted significant economic harm on itself by refusing to do business with companies and countries that supported the apartheid South African regime, culminating in the expulsion of and nationalization (albeit with compensation) of the Nigerian subsidiaries and trading assets of Barclays Bank (became Union Bank), Standard Bank (became First Bank), BP (became AP or African Petroleum and presently Forte Oil), and Esso (became Eagle Petroleum, and presently Conoil). We ceded lucrative markets by refusing to sell our highly sought-after light crude oil to many Western countries (while donating free oil supplies to the five “Frontline States” bordering South Africa), and even denied Coca-Cola an operational and manufacturing license in Nigeria (leaving them to continue to rely on the Hellenic Bottling Company to franchise Coca-Cola products in Nigeria, through their subsidiary Nigerian Bottling Company).

Additionally, Nigeria provided FREE university and tertiary education for scores of South Africans and financed scholarships for many others. Nigeria also deployed considerable financial and other resources towards the campaign against apartheid across the world, culminating in Nigeria effectively assuming effective permanent control of the UN’s (standing) Special Committee Against Apartheid at the UN headquarters in New York City (initially set up in 1962), as from the 1970s onward with each Nigerian Permanent Representative virtually automatically anointed as the Chairperson of the Special Committee (except for a year or two in the mid-1970s, apparently following Gowon’s overthrow) until it’s disbandment in 1994 after the demise of apartheid and following free elections in South Africa.

It’s a shame that history is such a non-valued subject/commodity in much of Africa, because the Nigeria-South African roots run much DEEPER AND LONGER than the present generation appreciates. There’s a reason that, even during our GRANDPARENTS’ generation, Nigeria was the very FIRST place that Nelson Mandela sought political exile when he was first declared personae non-grata by the apartheid government of South Africa, arriving in Nigeria in the early 1960s (where he lived in the personal house of then Parliamentary Secretary, Mbazulike Amaechi, before deciding to return to South Africa to go underground in support of the military struggle), and why Nigeria was one of his first ports of call following his release in 1993 after 27 years in prison (and during which the Babangida government made a significantly large dollar donation to finance the electioneering campaigns of the ANC for South Africa’s first free elections ever).

For the avoidance of any doubt, none of the foregoing entitles Nigerians to a special status in South Africa, nor should earn them permanent or automatic immunity, but it should caution the beneficiaries of our collective sacrifices to treat individuals offenders individually without blacklisting an entire nation and its people or resorting to the sort of barbaric stereotypes visited upon them during apartheid.

Let me tell you how coward and incredibly stupid Nigerians are. You run away from your hopeless jungle and find refuge in another African country then go around bleating about how Nigeria is the giant of Africa and how other African countries hate you. Then I asked myself, if I was in a country called the giant of Africa then why should I seek refuge in another African country where I am getting abused but I still reluctant to go back to my giant of Africa grin grin cheesy grin grin grin grin grin grin THEY HAVE THE ENERGY TO FIGHT AUTHORITIES IN OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRIES BUT THEY ARE TOO COWARD TO FIGHT THEIR FULANI HERDSMAN RUN GOVERNMENT TO REDUCE THE HARDSHIP IN THAT HOPELESS HELL HOLE THEY CALL GIANT OF AFRICA. grin grin grin

you see bro,I like Nigerians very much buh we hate it when some Nigerians claim they developed Ghana or has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in Ghana b'cos it creates an impression that they control Ghana due to these investments which some Nigerians boastfully proclaim that.Ghana will not restrict or frustrate any investor in our space as some huge Nigerian cooperations are restricted from investing or starting up businesses in other African countries.Nigeria restrict Ghanaian products from entering into their borders buh we relax such restrictions such us no Ghanaian cement company or product is to import into Nigerian market buh we allow numerous Nigerian cement products into our country.Don't mistaken our willingness to open up for business as a weakness besides most of our brothers detest the high level of Nigerian stalls, mini businesses and retailers operating in the country buh we mostly see it as an oversight due to our close relations. Our laws says any foreign enterprise must have a start up of 200,000 us dollars minimum capital buh millions of Nigerians in Ghana doing businesses fall very short of this minimum capital buh we allow them to operate and flourish. Not even Benin Republic your neighbor will allow such unlawful actions due to the francophone African countries serving one common colonial Master France and back tracking Africa unity. So please avoid such sayings when talking especially to a Ghanaian.Already the Chinese,Europeans,Americans,Indians,Arabs and the Lebanese has massively invaded our market and they have this minimum capital to flourish so we have no right to target our African brothers.Thank you.

Dont argue with a Nigerian, it's like pouring water on a stone grin grin grin grin....Too loud and full of self entitlement

Bros I don't know if you are drunk or joking but Edo state doesn't damage Nigerians international reputation when compared to you ibos and the yorubas

Respect yourself please !. angry

Fraud and drug peddling are shameful crimes that are linked to the Yorubas and Igbo respectively but it's mostly Edo staten associated with the violent crime of trafficking. The Europeans particularly the Italians are sick of you coercing your own daughters and sisters through juju to their countries to forcibly domestically and sexually enslave them. Just thank your irrelevance for permitting you some anonymity abroad or don't get it twisted, you'd face the full force of the stigma for your national and ethnic crimes

I spoke facts dear so don't be such a salty bear tongue. Foreign media doesn't care to shame any particular ethnicity, their only concerns are which nationals are behind which crimes. Your own names and surnames indict you. Argue with your half brother who's plotting on forcing your daughter into the world's oldest trade as you people are prone to do.

Let's trade facts indeed tongue I just hope you can stick to the topic and you won't get drunk off your salty tears and ramble on about other people to distract from your sins and failures to your women

https://www.iom.int/news/iom-regional-director-visits-nigeria-support-moves-against-human-trafficking
For the past three years, Nigerian has been the main nationality of sea arrivals to Italy, and 59 per cent of the victims of trafficking (VoT) assisted by IOM in 2016 were Nigerians. IOM also estimates that about 80 per cent of Nigerian women and girls arriving by sea in 2016 are likely to be VoT for sexual exploitation; an estimated 94 per cent of these women and girls trafficked to Europe come from Edo State (according to UNODC).

At this point I have to agree with you. That country staying as a nation is doing them more damage than good.

Hate is being taught in all regions the ibo are taught to hate the Hausa the hausa and taught to hate the ibo and Yoruba and playing the devil's advocate in it all playing to the side they feel they benefit from most the minority tribes are forced to pick allegiances based on sustainance and self preservation

It's a recipe for disaster

Factually the couch try breaking up would be best at this point

The UN estimates that “as many as four million people are smuggled into foreign countries each year, generating up to $7 billion annually in illicit profits from criminal syndicates 3, 4 . Human trafficking is world wide. Of the victims of trafficking worldwide, Nigeria alone accounts for about 13 per cent 5, 6. In addition, of the 2,000 women trafficked to Italy, about 60% are Nigerians 7, 8, with a majority (80%) coming from Edo and Delta States of Nigeria

That data is inaccurate..

Firstly are you aware that there are Nigerian prostitutes in every major commercial city world wide ?

Go to your nearest brothel find our how many prostitutes are there let's say there are 20 girls you will find like maybe majority are from Yoruba and ibo fee are from Edo state

Now what is the population of. Edo state when compared to other states?

How can. Majority of girls. Trafficked from Nigeria be from Edo state ? Where is the population? Edo state would have run out of women!!

This is a case of Yoruba girls and ibo girls pretending to be from Edo state to fuel the narative!

Sweetheart, I brought out verified and trustworthy sources to back up my facts. If you believe that Yoruba and Igbo girls are claiming to be from Edo state and thus tarnishing your name, bringforth the evidence to settle the matter. Or continue to wail and point fingers while your own mothers, sisters and daughters are shipped off to foreign lands, under false pretences to be abused because you're too lazy and demonic to do anything worthwhile with your time than allow your people to be violated like this just to bring some meagre cents for your starving belly
