DEPRESSION AND HIS FRIENDS AS ENEMIES OF VISION PT3

And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord , I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.And the Lord said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the Lord?Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say. - Exodus 4:10-12
Another major friend to depression is low self-esteem. Due to certain events, happenings and situations around some people their minds has been made to have very little self worth of themselves. A lot of times we look down on ourselves and wish you were someone else who has better gifts, connections or opportunities more than ourselves. This feeling has become a major cause of limitation and big source of depression to several people. Therefore there is a need to know how to determine your value and keep enhancing it. I will be that discussing briefly here.
From the passage of scripture above, it is a story of God conversation with Moses to carry out a major rescue mission for a nation but felt incapacitated to undertake the task. The same way many of us have dreams, flash thoughts of great things we can or should do but feel underprivileged to do.Some times we feel not well equipped to pursue our dreams and goals or at a disadvantaged position to push certain things through.
The first and foremost source of your value in life is your VISION. Vision is the revelation of God's plan and purpose for someone's life. Therefore the only valid source of vision is God. Vision is very fundamental thing to make you focus in life. Every way cannot be your way. There is something you are ordained and created to do. Your efforts should be concentrated on locating and pursuing your purpose in life. If there is purpose for flowers as gifts,domestic animals as pets, even wild animals in the zoo that men pay to watch there is definitely a very great value on your life. You cannot afford to waste life opportunity.
It is in the revelation of this vision that you identify your calling and assignments in life. When you start following your calling your life become focused and organised for fulfilment. We often feel frustrated when we are outside purpose just like a fish will struggle outside water. Your strength lies in your area of assignment. Your potential will not be fully realised until you fall in line with your purpose in life. You are actually wired perfectly to fulfill your assignment. You may not know you have certain abilities until you start taking step in line with you calling in life.
A good example is Moses in scriptural story above who had several complaints and reasons why he cannot carry out the nation of Israel rescue mission from Egyptians servitude. The mission he eventually successful delivered by the help of God.As a matter of fact there are heights you don't believe you can reach until you get there. The honest truth is that you can only succeed very well in your area of calling in life.
After obtaining the revelation of God's plan for our lives usually through prayer (sometimes with fasting).The next thing to do in such kind of situation is to start taking steps in line with your purpose. Such steps will include consultations and studying to know more in that area. It's in getting more knowledge that your confidence is developed and worth enhanced. Finally you will need to keep a close relationship with God as you will always need His help to fulfill His purpose.
