While I was discarding d empty bottles of water from a discharged patient, I discovered one of d keg had saliva inside meaning he was *salivating* into one of the bottles..

This patient had tuberculosis *(TB)*..

This is also applicable to other hospitals around the globe..
Some patients even urinate inside the containers, these patients have HIV , hepatitis and other infections diseases.. '

Now my worry, these women pack these empty bottles of water can and sell to people that make *zobo, tiger nut drinks, kunu* et al.

We d victim buy and consume...

A consumer buys 50 or probably 100 naira worth of drink with his or her money and end up having a life threatening disease or even an ailments that could take his or her life if not well treated...

The cycle keeps going... Let's be guided ....


BE sure to buy from person you know....or better still... prepare it yourself and enjoy.

Buying the ones with sealed cover is better but my worry over that is that some people just buy ONLY THE cover and use the used and discarded bottle....

The healthworker is observant and OP did a good thing by informing people of a possible public health threat.
Those recycled plastic bottles used in packaging those kunu, zobo and soya milk are obviously not decontaminated before reuse and could be a possible cause of spread of some infectious diseases. However, pulmonary tuberculosis are mainly spread by inhalation of aerosols created when a patient with active TB coughs or sneezes.
