It is a proven fact that the telecommunication industry in Nigeria is a far cry from what it's supposed to be and offer to the public. The shabby performances from the service operators can be attributed to poor control, governance, and supervision from the regulatory agency, in this case NCC. Many have chastised NCC for their gross act of negligence and lack of accountability in ensuring proper and perfect service delivery from the operators.

All the network providers have been accused of devising means of extorting money via questionable offers targeted at defrauding the public. These come in either call rates or data offerings. They promised 4G and give 3G instead, with a step-up exorbitant data rates. The sad end is that despite the public outcry, the regulatory agency which ought to be the beacon of hope for the masses often keep mute lipsrsealed
Thus, are we save to conclude that NCC is an accomplice with the telecommunication service agents in Nigeria to steal our hard earned monies tongue
