Peeps need to know that the circuitry in phones involves the use of lithium chemistries in their batteries. Lithium chemistry batteries is unstable at unregulated charging algorithms.

As such, the circuitry has BMS (battery Management Systems) built in. This cuts of the charging current when it senses that the battery is fully charged. This is the most basic of lithium charging algorithms that has even been well perfected in tablets and laptops (which all use lithium chemistries).

Your bluetooth earpieces, hearing aids, rechargeable clippers, the electric cars and several other gadgets out there utilize lithium batteries in one form or another. If this regulated charges are not included, then we would have had several pockets of explosions occurring on daily basis.

Although I can't categorically say, but I guess the Samsung phones explosions of then had something to do with faulty charging algorithms and it was a factory fault.

Lithium battery explosions that I have witnessed is not ballistic like is shown in the video. It is something more of smokes, blue flames, and some pyrotechnics at best.

The video appears staged.

Aboguede:
Accepted

It is technically wrong and also warned by mobile battery manufacturers not to over-charge mobile phone batteries.

Even when it does not cause havoc, it reduces the battery life span drastically.

Though I think Nigeria can be exempted
