I am very disappointed in this generation of Nigerians who malign others either from the North, South, East or Western part of the country. The upper class in Nigeria has created a wedge that has caused hatred among the groups. I am Igbo man who lived with Northerners and I was treated with respected and as one Nigerian. You guys who come on Social Media and spew hate but when you turn on the TV, you see Dangote and Otedola hanging out. Those guys were friends from back in the day and yet they are cordial. Joblessness should not make you a hater and you all claim to be children of God or Allah. Which means we all worship the same God. Remember Abraham, Ishmael and Isaac?

True talk. The rich Igbos ,Yoruba and hausa's get along just fine. They don't have time to come online and be spewing hate. It's d middle and lower class echelon you always find on Nairaland venting their frustration and playing the blame game. Honestly, when they graduate to a higher class, they also won't have time for all this tribalism. We know Nigeria is not working, but alot of people are making the best of it and channelling their energy towards positivity. This we should learn to do also.

As usual, arguing based on pure emotions rather than common sense; if you had any intelligence at all, you would have at least tried to disprove or counter my statement.

BTW, I agree that we have nothing in common, after all why would anyone want to share the same country with an inherently and selfish, criminally minded set of ppl who thrive on hatred and ill will towards others; a ppl who are increasingly becoming the most disliked tribe in the world, always attracting the distrust and wrath of their host communities - from SA, to Asia, Ghana and even Togo; being hunted and chase out like rats because of their toxicity.
As for separation; pls don't blame anybody but your forefather, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, for vehemently rejecting the regional opting-out clause in our 1st constitution, against the wishes of other founding fathers.
Indeed, without his objection, we would have probably long been on our separate ways because northerners were the 1st to want to break away - until they were ill advised by the British.

Besides; we all know that all this chanting of Biafra is nothing more than a chest beating hoax; because no group of ppl benefit most and continue to benefit from One Nigeria than your nomadic tribe who have spread themselves and stuck their tentacles like parasitic leeches on other ppls land as economic refugees.

All that was needed to call your bluff was for a handful of northern youths to give your ppl a 3 month quit notice, that was when you ppl went into panic mode running helter skelter wailing and looking for reconciliation.
