Finally sense has fallen on FG. Digital age makes it difficult to hide any info, if it's hidden from official channel, it'll be made public from unofficial sources. |

Nice one, we should now have a consensus on who and what is Nigeria, the consciousness of why, how and when we became a Nigerian will help us seek for an understanding of our limitations and the agreeable path to forge ahead. |

Blue3k: Don't let your past hold you down till infinity. Move on, Civil War is over over 50 years ago, better day are ahead. Meanwhile, History to be taught in Schools is FG curriculum and will definitely exclude the details of the Civil War. |

The next thing is to ensure they are closely monitored not to distort the history. Let it be reliable-sources based, not beer parlour based. If not, the impact will be more harmful |

Good move, but please don't let them dwell in it like they only dwell in the present (English, maths, commerce, physics, etc) & forget to teach them the future (how to make money). It has to be balanced. Physics & other studies ain't helping most ppl put food on thier table |

Emilokoiyawon: in fact it's very mandatory. I read about the numbers of countries under the major colonized countries last yr and I was amazed French had the majority, the way French was forcing assimilation on the countries colonized and how is not working because of the strong cultures on ground, the Arab trades to africa, the NOK and so on history is life 2 Likes 2 Shares |

RichBoy247: Dont make baseless assumptions. The civil war isnt a big deal to me. Its just an event that should be discussed. If they do exclude civil war states should add it. I doubt they will since they were too lazy to add history to begin with. |

Blue3k: History was banned because there's no way to teach history without mention the cause of first coup and and also how it leads to civil war. fine let the whole citizen see that the envy against Igbo's did not start today. let not the history teach be as Nigerian new media where they air filted news |

Long overdue, me that was born and raised outside the country know Nigerian history more than Nigerians born in Nigeria, because I was taught African history both in Primary and secondary school. Long overdue. |
