What will you suffer for?

1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

Beloved, it is certain for man to suffer. It depends on your decision on what you want to suffer for. You can suffer for two different things:
- well doing (doing the will of GOD and taking your stand)
- evil doing (sin)

Our Lord Jesus went about doing good but instead of being appreciated, He was persecuted by the Jews and the Pharisees. He did numerous signs and wonders but the greater He did these things, the greater the hatred toward Him.

John 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

Beloved, suffering and persecution is part of a Christian life. If truly you are living like Jesus Christ, you will be persecuted and suffer afflictions. Beloved, it is better to suffer persecution for Christ than for the things which are evil.

A man can only suffer for well doing on earth while a man can suffer for evil doing either on earth and in eternity. There is a consequence for every evil done by a man on earth, a man who is a thief will one day be caught and suffer for it and if it be so that he doesn't suffer for it on earth and He repent not of his evil ways, the suffering will be in eternity.

It is either you suffer for well doing or for evil doing. Beloved, what will you suffer for?
There is a reward for every doing. For evil doing, the reward is captivity and eternal damnation and for well doing, the reward is eternity with GOD.

What will you suffer for?

Are you willing to suffer afflictions for the sake of Christ or for evil doing? It is a choice you have to make.

Beloved, I beseech you that you suffer for well doing - doing the will of GOD. It is a great privilege to suffer for Christ. It is a thing of Joy to suffer afflictions and pain for His sake. The afflictions and suffering are but for moment. Beloved, hold your ground in Christ, don't waiver at persecution, insults, critics and sufferings: it is all part of the life of our Lord Jesus. Always ALL things to glorify GOD irrespective of what people may say or do to you.

Say it: "I choose to suffer for Christ than for evil doing". Beloved, don't be weary nor tired, keep persevering and be patient.

Stand for Christ irrespective of threat
Stand for Christ irrespective of suffering
Stand for Christ irrespective of insults and criticism
Stand for Christ irrespective of trial, circumstances and tribulations
Stand for Christ always.

Beloved, GOD is urging you to suffer for His name sake and for well doing and not for evil doing. If you are involve in sin in anyway or evil doing, the Lord GOD is calling you to repent from your evil ways and do His will. He will help you, just be willing to let go and go to Him in humility in prayer and take necessary actions to live in accordance to His will.

2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
