We need to strongly review this hometown discount we are giving Adidas. £750m for Man U who have done almost diddly-squat in recent years?

EPL is somehow marketable than Bundesliga. Don't ask me how. Maybe that's why

I'm really angry with Bayern. Why will an unproven player like thiago Alcantara be earning more than Kroos? Pep's influence?

Beckenbauer: Kroos sale would hurt, but playing for Madrid is priceless

"As honorary president of Bayern I regret his departure. If he is going we will have lost a player of absolutely world class quality," said Beckenbauer to the official German Football Federation (DFB) website.

"But there is also a future in his career. This can be an experience abroad and going to a club like Real Madrid is priceless."

Özil: While he didn't set the World Cup on fire I strongly disagree with people who claim he had a bad tournament! He was played out of position for its entirety but still made himself useful. Easily the 2nd most creative player in the team from open play besides Müller

Klose: Showed his class and experience and scored two very important goals to eclipse Ronaldo and become the World Cup's best goalscorer. Class act and a fitting way to go out. Legend

Götze: Played out of position and was given a shorter leash than the likes of Kroos and Özil IMO but kudos to him for not being mentally fragile and letting his head drop I am absolutely delighted that it was he who went on to score the most important goal of all! Maybe with Kroos's exit we would finally get to see the best of Götze who despite scoring 15 goals and 14 assists last season is still inexplicably being labelled a flop

Müller: King Müller, the Raumdeuter was simply amazing at this World Cup! Golden Ball winner IMO the boy is already a legend at 24! Was responsible for more goals than any other player at the World Cup yet covered the most ground. Awesome does not even begin to explain this ninja! If I start with superlatives I might not finish so let me stop here

Schürrle: Jorgi Loew's Joker, dude came off the bench and always brought gobe to the opposition! Too much energy too much ginja and fitting too that after slaughtering Caesar in the semis with that amazing 7th goal he provided Götze with the World Cup winner not forgetting his heroics against Algeria. Germany are not World Champions without Schürrle that's how important he was

Löw Even the harshest of critics can be shut up with a World Cup title and Jorgi has finally delivered! He grew up tactically at this World Cup tbh apart from playing Mustafi and his IMO unfair handling of Götze he did very well! Made the right substitutions and adjusted on the fly in all situations

Schwiensteiger: Speak of brilliance and work rate, speak of Bosstian. The bavarian was brought on as a sub against Ghana in the group stage, only for him to go ahead and cement his place in the starting XI. His return to the first team proved to be the best decision Loew would make, as the combative midfielder didn't just provide the likes of Kroos and Khedira the freedom to maraude upfield and cause damages, he also served as an irreplaceable defensive aegis for the team - he is a living legend!

Neuer: What more is to be said about this dude? He has established himself to be one of the best goalies in the world since his move to the Allianz Arena from Schalke. Manuel played a big role in Germany's world cup success, making mind-blowing saves and even at a point was deployed to play as the team's sweeper. Winning the golden glove was a feat we all saw coming - the ninja can save a broken relationship.

Hummels: This dude is my best defender after Sergio Ramos. Calm, composed, quick, strong and aerially deadly. He was there to compliment Boateng, their partnership was superb that they had to see off the last games in the mundial conceding just once. He scored his first world cup goal in the 4nil evisceration of Portugal and grabbed his second in what proved to be the winner against France in the Quarter-final. He's a class.

Germany's triumph in Brazil is a good omen for German football, and Bayern Munich in particular. In the new milennium, a team from an European world cup winning country has gone on to win the UCL the following season.Italy(2006),Milan(2007);Spain(2010), Barcelona(2011).The Spanish side had 7 Guardiola-coached players in that squad, same number as Bayern.Coincidence? It's already written in the stars.Bayern Munich UCL Champions 2015.

That one sef dey sha and Adidas is like family but they would definitely need to at least double our offer and that of Madrid

I'm happy the marketing team at Bayern is finally getting to work and trying to penetrate virgin territory like the Americas and Asia hell even the Middle East!

Funny what can happen in two years. I mean how would you have explained to these guys especially the Bayern contingent that they would win 8 major trophies including the World Cup after the UCL Final loss and the National Team collapse at the Euros in 2012

KHR says Kross can leave but for a certain fee.

Thank God those guys are getting sensible on transfers. Kroos is not worth less than £40m.

We don gawk ourselves already on the Kroos matter looking back now we should have given an extension then put him up for sale. I can live with €30m we should at least hold out for that

What else can be said of the Brazilian nightmare and International calamity that is David Luiz? We have had Calamity James, Calamity Yobo and now Calamity Luiz

Info from Munich

1) SportBild: Alaba will play Kroos' role (Bernat at LB) at Bayern until Thiago returns. ( Pep would still not be forced to play Muller, Schweinsteiger, Gotze and Martinez together. He did that in his first season and intently wanted to get rid of Bastian.

2) SportBild also suggests that Lahm will still be in Bayern MF (Rafinha RB) with no room for Javi or Basti in Mid Field regardless of Thiago's fitness

3) Have to hope SportBild is wrong or Pep comes to his senses. Bayern with world's best LB & RB, so Pep uses them in MidField?

Bayern fans, which do you prefer until Thiago returns? 1) FBs: Lahm/Alaba, DMs: Basti/Javi. Or 2) FBs: Bernat /Rafinha. DMs: Lahm/Alaba. Thiago will be the new number 10 after kroos departs

Alaba & Lahm make good MFs. They're peerless in DeFence. Jury's out on Bernat, but Rafinha a clear liability. Insult he plays if Basti's benched or when Badi returns to full form and Boateng is benched.

4) SportBild: Another option is Javi as 3rd CB, which he could play similarly to DM. Better, but still no way Rafinha is good enough for FCB XI
Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by Nobody: 7:41am On Jul 17, 2014
Sky: Ginter to BVB a done deal. €10m fee, 5-yr contract. Great for BVB as option at CB & DM. But: He's too good to be a utility player. Given BVB's injury record at CB & DM, no doubt Ginter will play regularly. imo it's not best for his development to be shuffled back & forth.

Ginter to BVB should have no immediate effect on Hummels, who's under contract until 2017 w/o exit clause. Could affect Subotic next year

Great thing by Mesut Özil - 11 children's operations in Brazil he sponsored before and during the World Cup, now increases it by financing additional 12 operations to a total 23.

I hope other players can learn. DFB would be giving them 300k euros and close to half of it would be going to charity

Thumbs up

The other jester called Luiz, only God knows how many goals he cost his team

Luiz marking Muller on a corner, 2 seconds later, Muller was having a free tap ip.

Where was Luiz? Day dreaming as usual

Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by dayokanu(m): 8:33am On Jul 17, 2014
David Luiz cant even make contact with the ball

The real alago in front of 3billion viewers

What a joke of a defender

A propensity to make such mistakes was the reason Luiz was rarely trusted at centre-half and grudgingly played as a midfield anchor. Now, Luiz is someone else's expensive problem,

Mourinho will be delighted to have offloaded David Luiz

Its SportBild so I want to assume they are lying by default but if its true Guardiola is playing with fire. I don't know if Alaba can be effective at CM since he is predominantly left-footed that is certainly not an experiment I would like to see in elite Europe

Not applying those players you listed above properly last season led to his downfall in Europe I hope he doesn't repeat the same mistake

toba: 2) SportBild also suggests that Lahm will still be in Bayern MF (Rafinha RB) with no room for Javi or Basti in Mid Field regardless of Thiago's fitness

3) Have to hope SportBild is wrong or Pep comes to his senses. Bayern with world's best LB & RB, so Pep uses them in MidField?
If this is true then he is playing with sack letter. What was supposed to be a useful alternative is what has now turned to the main option. Lahm is not a great DM and Martinez is not a great CB how can Pep not know this?

toba:

Lahm at RB, Alaba at LB, Fussballgott and Javi at DM or one of Fussballgott/Javi plus Thiago at CM

I hope Pep is realistic enough to play Götze behind Lewandowski if we want to rely less on wingplay then this is the only way to go

toba:

Boateng is not going to be benched actually the person you should be more worried about is Dante! He had an awful World Cup and there's no telling how much he carries over to the club. I don't want to see Rafinha starting for Bayern next season unless Lahm is hurt

Guardiola has no excuses this year! This World Cup clearly showed that Bayern still have the best team

Kroos to RealMadrid official, 6yr contract. Still think Bayern were crazy to give Ribery €12m until he's 34 but offer TKroos only €7m in his 20s

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Shortly after the blow suffered by Garay, Kramer came to me and asked: 'Ref, is this the final?'

"I thought he was joking
, he repeated the question and said: 'I need to know if this is really the final.'

"At my 'yes', amazed, he concluded: 'Thanks, it was important to know'. I advised Bastian Schweinsteiger and they replaced Kramer."
