The Arsenal owner was the subject of a lawsuit over moving NFL team the Rams to Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Rams, the NFL franchise run by Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke, have been ordered to pay up to £18.8million ($24m) to supporters in St. Louis, the former home of the team.

Personal seat licence holders in St. Louis had filed a class action lawsuit against the Rams after purchasing the rights to their tickets at their stadium, known as The Dome, for 30 years.

The lawsuit called for seat licence holders to receive 30% of their original purchase price and a refund for the nine years in which the Rams did not play in St. Louis, as well as damages.

Kroenke moved the Rams to Los Angeles in 2016 after 21 years in the Missouri city. The American football team are currently playing in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum but are set to move into a new stadium in Inglewood next year.

The complex in which the stadium will be built is expected to cost over £3billion. Kroenke and his wife, Ann Walton, have invested around £1.2bn of their personal fortune in the project.
