Lagos Resident Remanded In Prison For Assaulting Officials Of The Eko Electricit by willscopan: 5:41pm On Jun 25, 2019

A man named Israel Olayinka has been remanded in prison for assaulting officials of the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC).

Olayinka, and some others who are now at large attacked staff of the EKEDC at the Ijora Badia, Apapa area of Lagos, inciting the public against them and blocking their vehicle from operation.

At the Samuel Ilori Magistrate Court on Friday, Olayinka faced a 3-count charge but pleaded not guilty.

The Magistrate, Mrs. Ajiafunwa granted the culprit bail of up to N600,000 with two sureties showing their tax histories on properties in Lagos. Olayinka however failed to perfect his bail terms and has been remanded in prison.
