Joy went to her room with tears rolling
down from her eyes profusely.Her mum
notice her mood and went to her room and saw her crying ."Why are you crying?" she
asked curiously and place her head on her lap."Mum,you saw the way my crouch went home
without even letting me to express my
feelings to him"Joy said mutually. "Don't
worry ,he belongs to no other else than you ,he's not met for a poor girl like Ebiere " Joy's
mum
consoled Joy ."Mum, am I not
beautiful?"still crying ."you are indeed
beautiful,there is no one on earth that can
resist your charm"Joy's mum flattered. "Then why is the
prince resisting me" Joy asked sadly
."Mum are you sure am beautiful" Joy added
."Yea as I said .you are extremely gorgeous"
Joy's mum went and brought a mirror. "Take
a look at yourself " Joy's mum said ."Am even cute, then
why is Karis resisting me" Joy dropped the
mirror and began to cry .

******AT MY HOME*****

My parents were planning to give out my
elder sister in marriage due to lack of fund. "who is this handsome man and the aged
man that is in our house" I said to my self. To
my greatest
surprise,the aged man stand up. "Mr and mrs
Gabriel ,we have come to the climax of
visiting you .Our aim of visiting you this morning ,is to seek your daughter's hand in
marriage,we are going to fulfil all that you
bid us to do but you are going to give us our
son's dowry.
"The aged man said.He's the father of the
young man that is seeking for my elder sister hand in mrriage."If that's what you
want then I don't think
there is any problem" my dad said. "Thank's for your understanding" the aged man said .
"Nice to
meet you" my dad said ."Nice to meet you too" the aged man replied .He shaked hand with
my dad,bid
us farewell and they depart.
The Waec result is out ,how am I going to see
my result .Ok ,my cousin has a laptop, let me
go and visit her inorder to check my result .I
went straight to her house (kpor kpor ) I
knocked their door. "Who's that" a voice requested from
inside. "Is me, Ebiere "I said. "Come in" the voice
said.I ajar the door and went inside. "Good
afternoon aunty,good afternoon uncle" I greeted my uncle and his wife. "You are
welcome" they said
,not minding my presence,they were carried
away by happiness and celebration that Joy
pass her WAEC .I went further to meet Joy
."Congratulation for passing your Waec" I said ."Thank you" Joy replied. "Are you not
going to entertain me?" I asked jokingly. "There is
nothing for you 'cause you came uninvited
and you didn't inform me that you are going
to come" Joy said giggling her eyes "Any way I didn't come for that, can you excuse
me with your laptop " I requested. "What do you want to do with it?" Joy asked curiously."I want to
use
it to check my WAEC result" I said ,waiting
for her to grant me my request."Do you even
know how to operate laptop" Joy mocked
me."Are you trying to insult me" I said. "Is just a question " Joy went into her room and
came back with her laptop ."I give you 30
seconds to check your result " she handed me her laptop .I plugged the laptop to their wall
outlet,press the on button of the laptop and wait for it to boot.I
entered the Waec site,type my examination number and center.the result appeared on
the screen and I was about to look my result
before I discovered that the laptop has been
unplugged ."Who unplug the laptop" I asked
anxiously. "Am sorry ,your time has expire"
Joy said while laughing at me."But I didn't even see my result" I
murmured."Give me my laptop!" joy exclaim
and dragged the laptop from my hand.I
was
speechless and dumbfounded .I summon
courage and went out of the house without seeing my Waec result .To be continue
